The end of procrastination and disorganisation....... 5th Jun 16 at 3:45 PM
.............and the above are the reasons for virtually all of my problems in the past and present, be it debt, weight, careers and the state of the house.

I have plans, big plans which I don't have time to pop on here right now, but I intend to use this diary to sort me out once and for all.

It's going to be fun.....a real step into the unknown.

    I can't wait.

Have your got peripheral neuropathy from the chemo? I know my dad found it really frustrating, so am impressed that you're managing so much. My cousin tells me that it does improve with time, and his handwriting is now legible again, but I know he struggled with it to.

You are doing a fantastic job coping with treatment, side effects, work and still getting on with the house improvements. The decluttering may not be going as quickly as it was when you weren't working, but you're working. You need to rest and give yourself a chance - being tired will only make things harder.

Could you do mini-decluttering challenges (maybe even ones DS could join in with e.g. find 3 books from around the house to go in the bookshelf where they should be, or each person find 5 bits of rubbish from upstairs and bring them down on bin day, or each person choose 1 thing of their own to donate to a charity...)? That way at least you'd feel there was a net flow out rather than in, or staying the same.

Thank all. You have been so supportive.

Yes Greenbee I do have peripheral neuropathy and it's so flipping annoying, especially when most of what you do is hand based. I did a repair on a dress for someone Last night and it would be fair to say it wasn't my best work. I think it's has been one of the most frustrating things about the treatment to be honest. Plus I walk like I've had one too many sherberts with my dead feet. That can be embarrassing.

Only one more week with students and an admin week to go then I'm off for the summer holidays. When I return in August I'm going to drop to three days. It's too much at the moment doing the four. I have a mini challenge to pay off as much debt as I can over the summer so I can do this.

Anyway I guess I should be off to class. Have a good day. X

    Thank you abba.

I had a very odd dream last night. I was in the garden when I realised the house had been sold and I had to move the next morning. The problem was that NOTHING had been packed and I started to run around trying to get stuff into carrier bags because it's all I had. Everywhere i looked was stuff. Piles and piles of it, in every room. I woke up feeling really stressed and realised my mi d was trying to tell me something. I think I've really had enough of all the clutter and it's time it was gone.

I suppose with all the rain coming down I have no excuse. I can't escape to the garden so should crack on inside.

    I hope you're all having a good weekend. X

Goodness it's been a while, sorry. The week before last was chaotic to say the least. Anyway last saturday was spent finishing installation of the kitchen sink and unit (was falling apart ), installing a new washer (it broke the week before :eek), installing a new fridge ( it broke the week before ) and finally having the bay roof fixed after finding a roofer). Im glad i wasnt having a race with DIA re fixing rooves, she would have whooped me. It's been a bit of an expensive month. This month I need to get a new bathroom basin and vanity unit as mine has been cracked for a few years.

Luckily I broke up on Friday until the middle of August so have a few weeks to try and get this mess of a house sorted. I started on Friday night by starting the attack on the privet from hell. Hopefully this will be finished today.

Tomorrow the first trip to the tip is planned. There will be many.

Anyway have a fab day. Enjoy the sun. Xxx

Crumbs, that must have been some day! Are you pleased with yourself? Because you should be! Or have you not stopped still long enough to enjoy looking at the kitchen?

Are you going to take some 'before' photos to show yourself how far you get in July?

I was more aggravated by the end of the day to be honest cherryfudge. I was exhausted but glad it was all done. I think I will take so.e before and after photos. That's something I used to do but forgot about it to be honest. Thank you for the reminder.

I've just been shopping around for home insurance. It's not due until October but I wanted an idea of costs and it's about what I thought. I'm going g to try and put the whole lot to one side this month. If not at least half.

I'm just off down the tip. I have to empty the car of clutter first though. When i get back im going to clear the stairs of the bits accumulated. Then the downstairs needs blasting.Tomorrow DH is going in to work so I'm going to spend the whole day on that room. Well apart from the bit at the hairdressers. Thinking forward to wednesday, depending on weather, im going to sort the two top sheds. There is so much which can go. It will involve another tip trip but thats ok.

I have three weeks until DS breaks up so it's full speed on the house/garden until then.

    Have a fab day.x

Thanks Greenbee. I'm pacing myself but it's helping my mood by getting stuff done.

I'm just in the middle of sorting the front room after months of a leaking bay. I think it's going to take more than today. The mess is .

Anyway I'm not getting much done mooching on here. Have a fab day.

    Ah thank you chrystal.

The front room is a bigger job than I thought. It doesn't help I keep being floored by hot flushes. My goodness they are swines. I never imagined.

I feel so middle aged..Anyone want to join me and become a teenager again. Back in the 80s though, not now, the music is carp.

Off to have an indie disco by myself. Oh god, I've lost it. I blame the drugs ( not illegal ones before anyone gets the wrong idea).

Boo to eye tests. I've been wearing glasses or contacts since 1982. I dread to think how much I've spent over years. I always get the giggles when they use thought thing and get too close. I hope it went well for you.

I'll come back to the eighties too though I was in my 20s and having an wonderful time in London. No money, but I still had the best time.

You realise I will go to bed singing Tracy Chapman songs now?

And that's me off to do some kitchen decluttering to a Tracy Chapman soundtrack. 'All that you have is your soul ' seems particularly apt.
