Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 13 13th Apr 16 at 12:29 PM
This is the new thread for those trying for a baby.
    The previous one is here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5143999

Please be aware that this is a thread for those trying to conceive. If you wish to announce a pregnancy (or are only a couple of days from testing) and you have never used this thread before, please either wait until CD1 or use the less than 12 weeks pregnant thread. Hormones can run high on here (nature of the thread!) so please be sensitive. Many thanks!

This website is also useful http://www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm
It details the Sperm Meets Egg Plan (SMEP) which some have found helpful in conceiving.

There is no such thing as a silly question, so please ask anything you are curious about. Many of us have 'been there done that' and many of our graduates still read this thread and are happy to offer advice when it is needed and relevant.

As with everything deemed medical, we cannot offer medical advice, so please visit or call your GP if you have any concerns or questions. Getting a preconception check up is recommended and allows your GP to know that you're trying for a baby as well as identifying and rectifying any issues or problems that may interfere with a pregnancy before you conceive.

    Hi all,
I've not been on in about a week so had a lot to catch up on.
Welcome to Tasha as has already been said, everyone in here is lovely and full of useful information.
Selement congratulations! I wish you an uneventful, smooth and decidedly boring pregnancy and birth. How are you and your husband feeling now you've has the news for a few days, has it sunk in yet?
Thrifty Welcome back - I hope it all settles out for you and you can get some BDing in even if it's just for the fun of it.
HappyLassie We've not been trying long but try to BD every other day when fertile and when we feel like it. But if we're not in the mood then don't try to force it.

There's nothing much to report here CD22, AF is predicted to arrive on Friday so I'll just have to wait and see. Patience isn't a virtue I can claim to possess.

    Baby Dust to all

    Little One's due date 18/12/18
    FTB June '17 - 144k.

    Thanks for all the congratulations
We've started to tell our parents now which makes it feel a little more real.
Really want to tell our friends but trying not to for a bit longer.
Still feel weird about it! Excited, trying to not get carried away thinking about November onwards because it's still so early.
Hope to see some of you join me to less than 12 weeks group soon xx

Tryingin2018 !!!8211; already moved you across as you said you had ovulated

HappyLassie13 !!!8211; we try for every other day when I know the fertile week is on it!!!8217;s way. Then when I ovulate that day and the next day. I few fancy it more, we do it more. If we aren!!!8217;t in the mood, or it isn!!!8217;t possible, then we don!!!8217;t. Statistically you are more likely to get pregnant with DTD every day in fertile week, however the improvement is minimal when compared with every other day. I think the most important thing is that you are enjoying it and it doesn!!!8217;t!!!8217; feel forced, otherwise the TTC journey will be made even more difficult as you will come to resent DTD!

Still no AF here, it will be two weeks late tomorrow. I am glad I booked my doctors appointment now. It is 2 weeks away yet but I am feeling like I am going to need it!

    Congratulations Selement and Toots

Welcome Tasha and welcome back Thrift

Big hugs to all those struggling

I had my eggs collected yesterday. A bit upset because we didn't get as many as we were hoping, but I guess it only takes one... Please keep your fingers crossed for us that we end up with an embryo to put back later this week.

Slothsocks I have been wondering how you were getting on. Sorry you didn't get as many eggs as you hoped, but as you say, it only takes one! What is the next stage of the process?
