Milann's life keeps getting in the way....... 18th Jan 16 at 11:00 PM
Been on these forums for some time now...........good intentions of being debt free and at target weight keep coming .....and going......and life just keeps getting in the way!!!

So it's time for a new diary to help keep me on track and push the excuses behind me and JUST DO IT....

My debt is down to 2,500 and if I'd have shaped myself I could have had it cleared but I didn't so I need to do that pronto......
My car was written off in November so I need to do something about getting mobile again, I'm wary of getting a rust bucket as I've had money pits in the past but the cash the insurance company paid out will only get a heap again and I refuse to get finance till I've cleared off the 2 and a half grand.......

I've gone a bit (lot) mad and really splashed out on a weekend away for combined Christmas and birthday pressie for dh...... never paid so much to for a weekend away before but we're going to a concert. It's not until June so I have to save for that too.

    SO this week I will
    1. Do storecupboard challenge
    2. Keep spending diary
    3. Follow Slimming World plan to get back to target 6LB to go - then I don't need to pay

Wish me luck on this last leg..............

We had a lovely day in Wales yesterday - went to a National Trust place and had a mooch around, tea and cake followed by fish and chips at the seaside later . Got stuck in a massive jam on the road out of Wales back home but to be expected on a sunny bank holiday I suppose.

Good day at work today although I could easily have stayed in bed this morning. I think I woke up every half hour as i was so hot.

Just watching Devon and Cornwall police on TV - wish I was there right now.

A couple of spendy and eaty days - need to reign both in.

Done 4 days in a row at work and it feels like I've never been away. Loving it.
MSE has been a joke - car insurance 400, I bought some tickets to some shows at our local theatre - the carpenters story and a Motown show later this year. I'll go with a friend - she'll pay for 1 but I owe her a ticket from when I went to see the Stylistics last year. Plus I put petrol in the car for the 1st time in a very long time - 1 advantage of sharing a car with dh - he filled it most of the time. And every time I go shopping it's been at least 20 - most days....need to get a grip.

Going out for a meal tomorrow with a voucher we got for Christmas before it runs out of date - looking at the prices though as it's quite posh - will have to put cash to it. It should be nice though. I sound very ungrateful and I'm not really. No idea what I'll wear as I can't get into anything.

I went back to slimming world and have put 1 1/2 stone on since I was at target so I'm not a happy bunny. So far so good today - long may it last.

Today it's taken me virtually all day to clean downstairs - not even ventured upstairs or cleaned the stairs yet. Doing everything left handed is taking so long.... I know when I'm beaten though and will do upstairs tomorrow.

Food wise I've done well so far but that won't last when we go out later. But will be walking there and back about an hour each way for a bit of damage limitation. I'll link dh to keep me upright. I'll be extra good for the rest of the week. I will have a loss this week and not just out of my purse at SW.

Have you got the new referral for your wrist yet ? It sounds like you are having an awkward time trying to do stuff left handed , take your time with it you don't want to injure your left hand.

Your NT visit in Wales sounded really good , pity about the traffic coming home . My DD spent the bank holiday in Wales but came home early to avoid the rush in our one way out of Wales road.

How was the meal as well ?

    Have a good day .

Still waiting for the referral to Wrightington Hospital - it's supposed to be the best around here - one half of me wants them to sort it the other half of me wants them to say they can't - I know I shouldn't but looked at t'internet and it doesn't look too appealing....but neither is not using my right arm for much. Just a bit fed up of surgery at the moment.

The meal last night was nice - a very posh bijou hotel that has opened in a park a couple of miles from here - 32 squid for a steak '6' chips piled in a neat tower with broccoli, 1 carrot, and green beans...... For pud I had pineapple presented in lots of different ways - looked like something from Masterchef. We had to put 16 to the complete evening for 2 of us so can't complain as dd bought us the voucher as a treat. Lucky Mummy

I felt scruffy though as I wanted to wear a dress but they didn't fit me as I've put so much weight on...I wore black trousers and top and looked OK - just felt rubbish. Anyway it's the kick up the backside to shape myself food and exercise wise.

Been doing a bit more 1 handed gardening in my front garden today. I've managed to weed 1 arm of an L shaped edging using a trowel over 2 days - it's feeling as if I'm getting there slowly - but as long as the weeds don't grow on the part I've done before I finish it'll be a job done well. Just need to buy some lavender plants now.

My friend was treated at Wrightington for a complicated break on her wrist and it's fine now. They are supposed to be the specialist place in the area.

Your meal sounds very nouveau cuisine , but at least you got to try the new place .

I guess it's just do the best you can with your left hand until you get the referral. Today has been lovely without being to warm.

Cumbria it's reassuring to hear of someone having had wrist surgery at Wrightington - my brother had a replacement knee and hip there but I'd not heard of anyone having wrists done before. I've looked doc I'm to see up and his credentials sound impressive. Just wish Wrightington was in Stockport instead of Wigan.... I thought going to Saford Royal with my spinal problem was a long way but it's easily accessed by the tram.Going to Wigan will need dh to take time off to take me.

I'd every intention of coming home and doing another bit of my garden but had a cuppa in front of tv and promptly fell asleep.

NSD today and low spends yesterday. Payday tomorrow - expecting it to be half pay but next month should sort itself out again I hope now I'm back.

I'd be happy if weather stayed like this all summer - not too hot and not too cold - my sort of weather

Well I made it - my 1st completely full week in work since beginning of October

I've been absolutely shattered though as I've been for a short swim and gym after work a couple of times too. Ive been doing NO exercise since I've hurt my arm so this week has been the week to give myself a big kick up the behind and stop feeling sorry for myself. I've been in bed at 9 most of the week though and fast asleep by 10 past

I need to pay my cc off and am deliberating whether or not to renew my gym membership -it's unfortunate it's in the same month as my car insurance payment goes out but if I renew it straight away I get a free month and guest pass for a month too.......when I use it I enjoy it just got to get back into good habits.

I lost 2 1/2 lb at chub club this week so I'm taking control again....that was until I went out to a show at local theatre last night and friend bought a big bag of fruit pastilles ahh well - was good to get out but only just managed to keep my eyes open, I went straight to bed and crashed as soon as I got in. it was the Carpenters Story and they were amazing musicians - good to have a bit of a sing along to songs from my youth with my friend from the same time.

Going to a 65th party later - a friend's sister and I've known her all my life so a nice relaxed party in the sunshine I hope.

I enjoyed the party at friends. I'd eaten before I went to try and help me resist too much party food !!!128514; Plus my friend will openly laugh and admit to her lack of catering skills....but she had pushed the boat out and ordered lots of ready made stuff from c@stc@........so I tucked in and had some lovely Sangria. It's have been rude not to and Twas rather nice but I might live to regret it at weigh in on Thursday... I'm glad it was an afternoon do as we left at 8 and I was in bed snoring away at 9.

I've been waiting in for a parcel to be delivered today - it's not turned up yet.

Next door have taken out a masshoosive bush which my old friend who lived there before had let get out of hand as it was too much for her and it group was over to our garden. It's so different - much lighter... I can't get over it and keep looking out.

Still enjoying being back at work although half nine is a late night. I won't be sorry to break up for 2 weeks on Friday.
Feeling a tad cheesed off as I'd dreamt of a fancy holiday in these school hols for our celebrations this year but hospitals, half pay and life in general just got in the way again....I know why I'm reluctant to plan things. Anyway a good friend has offered us her caravan in the lakes and I'm looking forward to that much more than going somewhere fancy complete with my arm in a splint and clothes a bulging. dh is cancelling some of his holidays and once my arm is sorted properly we will have that special holiday.

Had a fairly low spend week but the book man is in tomorrow and I want to order some books for the grandkids - he does some great deals and I have a weakness for books.

SW tomorrow - not sure how it'll go as I've had some great days but could well have scuppered them over the weekend at friends party. I'll be happy with any loss or even a maintain but don't want to gain.
