Please keep posting. I only go to the Co-op when I see a deal I want . The only way I know this is what I read on hear. I agree that some are better than others but you don't have to eat the whole thing at once. As others have said previously just eat some of it and add extra veg etc.

A reasonable selection this time round ( until 10th July )

    Goodfellas Margherita Pizza 458g
Mars Bars Ice cream 4 pack 204g
    Co-op Garlic Baguette 310g
    Bird Eye Chicken Popstars 150g
    McCain Paprika Potato Wedges 600g

( There may be a fault on the offer webpage - where it also lists Mixed Veg ,but this does NOT appear to be in the offer )

Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 3 Jul: You can get a frozen meal deal containing five specific items for £5 (would cost £11.08 bought separately) if you go to a participating Co-op store by Tue 10 Jul.

You'll need to buy ALL of these items to get the £5 deal:

    Birds Eye chicken popstars 150g
    Co-Op garlic baguettes 310g
Goodfellas thin crust Margherita pizza 320g
    Mars ice cream bars 204g
    McCain smoky paprika wedges 600g

If any of the items are out of stock, the deal won't work. However it's possible a substitution could be made at the manager's discretion, so it could be worth asking at the till.

Big thanks to dlsuman for the original post!

Unfortunately it's the only thing in the shop that's not over priced.

Except maybe the junk food meal deals.

Co-op picnic food is really good and noticed on Twitter today that there are picnic deals on - great if you want to bung kids in car with a cool bag and have a picnic in park, country or beach. There were quite a few items included. The potato salad is way better than the Eastman stuff at Tesco. Hummus is really good too.

A reasonable looking selection this time round ( though I would prefer a "proper" ice cream to lollies ) - until 28th August

    Birds Eye - 8 Fish Fingers 224g
    B.E. - 12 Chicken Dippers 220g
    B.E. -2 Chicken Grills 170g
    B.E. Mixed veg 340g
    McCains Potato Smiles 454g
Fab Strawberry Fab Ice Lollies 6 pack

Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 14 Aug: You can get a frozen meal deal containing six specific items for £5 (would cost £10.48 if bought separately) if you go to a participating Co-op store by Tue 21 Aug.

You'll need to buy ALL of these items to get the £5 deal:

Birds Eye 8 100% crispy fish fingers 224g
Birds Eye 12 chicken dippers 220g
Birds Eye 2 crispy chicken grills 170g
    Birds Eye mixed vegetables 340g
    McCain potato smiles 454g
    Nestl! Fab extra strawberries 6 x 58ml

If any of the items are out of stock, the deal won't work. However it's possible a substitution could be made at the manager's discretion, so it could be worth asking at the till.

And before the usual suspects drone on about it being junk food blah blah, yes we all know it is. Yes, we all know it's not the sort of food you'd want to be eating every day.

What it is is a quick and easy meal that can be knocked up for a reasonable price for those occasions when time is short and/or you don't have the time nor inclination to go down to the allotment or farmers market for your organic meat, mung beans and almond milk flat whites

maman I get your point...I also follow sw so use the deal to drip in as it were mostly to the kids/husbands meals such as some oven chips with steak and salad...no way would we eat the coops offering as a meal but I thank the person who takes a minute to post it I decide if its useful to us and I buy or don't buy I find it rude when some people slam it and as a creepy aside I wasn't thinking of you...if got nowt nice to say say nowt is my opinion

I've been looking at the latest £5 Co-Op frozen meal deal and it doesn't seem too bad

    https://food.coop.co.uk/deals/frozen-meal-deal

    Birds Eye Chicken Popstars 150g
    Co-op Garlic Baguettes (2)
Goodfella’s Thin Crust Takeaway Pizza 458g
McCain Lightly Spiced Potato Wedges 750g
    Rowntree's Fruit Pastille Lollies (4)

My co-op had a stack of the pizzzas individually priced at £4.20. Not sure why anyone would buy one at that price when you can have all the rest for an extra 80p

I think the individual prices add to something like £11.45. Available till 4 Sept

I occasionally buy the frozen meal deal, and yes, it would be a surfeit of junk food if you ate the lot at one meal, but use the individual components in other meals and you save a fair bit of money. Thanks to the OP who started this thread.
