I'd not buy that pie (don't like bacon/leek), but I could buy a pie for 2.
Mashed carrot and swede, make my own at 45p/swede & 30p/carrots, so 75p and I get more.
    Chips are 95p for 1.5Kg at Lidl/Aldi

So I'm up to 3.70 with a pie I like and double the veggies/chips.

Then there's the afters.... I don't buy ice cream, so I'd only have that as it's "in the deal whether you like it or not". And the roly poly I could make myself for pennies although I'm most likely to use the ingredients to knock up a steamed pud (as per my profile photo) costing just 20p or so.

So, overall, I could source the same items, cheaper .... and, for me, it'd cost me 2 to travel to a CoOp.

When I went into the co op on Sunday they had run out of pies and very low on other stuff but suspect deliveries had been hit due to the weather. I'll pop in again tomorrow and hopefully all the elements of the deal will be available.

Wont be going for the flipper dipper one.

My coop never has everything from the deal at the same time - there is always at least one empty shelf. Someone must be mucking up the ordering somewhere along the line
    May spend - 291.40/320.00
    June spend - 106.40/320.00

The SFC boneless box is disgusting! All mechanically reformed "chicken" that you have no chance of identifying!

I'm surprised that the Co-op think it's acceptable to market this stuff but, on reflection, I don't suppose the 'posh' meal deals from places like M&S are that much healthier although they do invariably have fresh veg or salad sides rather than onion rings!

I wish the Coop would do something similiar, but I'd also wish they'd improve the quality. They had a massive "UK made food!" boost some time ago yet most of their fresh fruit and vegetables seems to come from Spain. Even when it's in season elsewhere (including the UK) tomatos at the moment are excellent if from the UK or channel islands, especially the piccalo types. But yet again all I see in the Coop is Spain or Morrocco. Why?!
