    This is my 2nd diary on MSE. My first diary, "When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!" has to be closed as it's reached over 5000 posts!! It can be found here;

In 2011 my Husband had a motorcycle accident resulting in a severe brain injury, memory problems and Epilepsy. Unfortunately he is getting worse not better and I am now his full time Carer, which can be challenging, but I'm ever grateful he is still here! I also have 2 boys aged 10 and almost 5, a part time job and I'm currently a Beaver Leader but I've just given notice to leave at Christmas (as much as it pains me!) as I just can't manage that too. The last 3.5 years have been hard going for lots of reasons, but worth it. Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day!!

At the time of the accident we owed over £23,700 on credit cards and we currently owe just over £3000. Hopefully this diary will see us getting debt free forever! I hope you'll join me.

    MoneySavingExpert.com update, Tuesday 15 Jan 2019

Forumite please-let-me-be-lucky shared her inspirational story on the Martin Lewis Money Show this week.

In 2011 a motorcycle accident left her husband with a severe brain injury. At the time, they owed nearly £24,000 on credit cards. Thanks to her incredible perseverance, all while being a full-time carer, they’re debt-free.

You can watch the story of her amazing achievement on the Martin Lewis Money Show.

Alternatively, grab a cuppa, sit down and read the thread with her diary below (or catch up on events after the show here).

I hope DS's biopsy results come back as okay. It's a shame that you had to spend the PPI money. Maybe you can claw it back somehow.

It's nice to have your holiday to look forward to .

    What a day!!

DS2 woke up complaining of a headache. Honestly thought it was Friday-itis as he hates the supply teacher they have every Friday . So sent him to school.

DS1 was on a half day, so no sooner had I dropped him off it seemed time to pick him up again .

Had an appointment with MiL for her to do a new will and make me POA .

DS2 came out of school white as a sheet and promptly threw up as soon as he got home. Twice.

    DH had a partial seizure.

    I havenít even started packing.

DS2 still has a high temperature but is currently asleep next to me. Fingers crossed he manages to sleep all night.

    Iím shattered and feeling stressed.

Thanks both. Things have been a bit better today in that DS1 has stopped puking and feels better . Bit rubbish though in that DH has had several partial seizures and keeps asking the same questions over and over .

A friend has helped me drum up another 50 likes on the video, but we are still 4th. Getting fed up of it all now .

Dropped Oakley off with the breeder we got him from for his hollies with his doggy family. Miss my little mate already Xx

When do you fly Lucky, SIL flies to Tenerife next Saturday. This is the holiday her DS won from Walkers crisps. If you see a harassed woman with 3 grandkids you'll know it's her LOL

I hope DS1 is better and that DH doesn't have any more seizures .

I'm not surprised that you're stressed, I hate packing, but I'm sure you'll have a great holiday once you get there .

    Hello from sunny Tenerife!

Quick update as DS2 wanted to come back to the room for a bit, so Iím here with 5 mins to spare while everyone else is still poolside. Will catch up with everyone elseís diaries when Iím home.

We arrived on Sunday. Flight all fine and weather has been amazing. Hotel is lovely and a couple of Celebrities are staying here which has made for a bit of excitement. Not exactly rock stars, but a soap actress and her ice skater husband .

Weíve had a few trips around the area but otherwise have chilled out lots. DH has had a few grumps but nothing major. No worrying seizure activity either (fingers crossed!).

MiL has been very good at paying for the majority of things so we are just about coping money-wise.

Still 4th in the competition. 1st and 2nd place have around 3k likes and mine has about 580 . Mine had had over 6k views however, which is WAY more than anyone else has. Time will tell, it ends Monday night Xx

    Evening all.

Arrived back home in the early hours of Monday. House was absolutely baltic and we went to bed in several layers but still couldnít sleep for shivering . Ashamed to say Iíve had the heating on ever since we got back, and the house has only just warmed through. Itís helped with drying Mount Washmore though!

Holiday was really lovely, but Iím feeling a bit flat. Thought I needed a bit of space after being with everyone 24/7 but I managed that by going to Mr T alone yesterday and it didnít really help. DH has been quite repetitive both on holiday and since we got back. He went to visit Best Mate in hospital this afternoon (heís had an operation) and I think it did us both some good.

Oakley has only just come back from the breeder tonight as she had plans yesterday. We missed him terribly and the house has been weird without him. Happy now .

Competition ended at Midnight last night. Havenít heard anything today which is driving me a bit potty. I just want to know!!

Glad you had a fab time. I guess they're scrutinising the entries now, it may take some time, you might have to be patient. Fingers crossed xx

I miss my dog when we go on holiday, that's why we only go for a week (plus a week with Mr SA 24/7 is more than enough!).

You often feel a bit flat after a holiday, but I'm sure you'll feel better soon. I expect the break did do you good.
