Baby steps to mortgage freedom for beanielou. 4th Nov 14 at 1:19 PM
My first thread on the MFW board!!
My mortgage has 6 & 1/2 years left to run.
My income seems to decrease more & more & it becomes more & and more of a challange to pay my hefty(to me) mortgage.
I have managed an overpayment last month as I got some £££'s unexpectedly.
My biggest fear is not being able to pay my mortgage & loosing my home.
So I have decided that baby steps are the way forward~even a fiver or a tenner overpaid in a month is better than nothing.

Morning Beanie Hope you're OK. I can't think about ambulance response times too much. Mine had to come from Huddersfield and took nearly an hour to arrive. It's hard to believe not one ambulance was available in Greater Manchester but having watched some of these programmes I can understand it better these day. xx

Huddersfield to Greater Manchester for an ambulance- thatís awful
Hope youíre still enjoying your new shoes Beanie.
The weather is like the middle of winter here - hope itís better near you, although Iím thinking itís same in most places.
Hope youíre feeling a bit more like Beanie today, never forget youíre a special lady

It is really cold here today & I have put the heating on.Bah.
Physio today & my balance is no better.
    Bah.
    Blooming painful manipulation today.
    Bah to that too.

In other news the foodbank just gets busier & busier.

DS is coming tomorrow to help me take Mr N to the vet for a check up & to hopefully get his front claws done.
I have managed to get a couple of really matted bits cut off his coat.

BOFB had matts cut off yesterday as well - as he's got older he finds it more difficult to groom his tummy and haunches, I brush him every day but those areas still get big matts. He is not keen on having them removed hence the need for sedation. He also had his claws clipped. It was £140 in total including other tests but worth it as I'm sure he'll be more comfortable now.

Evening Beanie I've had the heating on as well. It's cold, wet and miserable in these parts but touch wood we don't flood so it could be worse.

Has something happened in your area like an industry closure to make the foodbank busier or is it just people struggling in general? On the back of what you've been saying about your foodbank I dropped some things off at ours yesterday. I don't agree with their policies but hopefully somebody in need will benefit and then find somewhere else that's a bit more relaxed about the number of times you can go.

Hope the visit to the vet goes well. xx

It's cold in Devon too, I was sat under a blanket last night and I wished I had gloves at playtime yesterday. It feels a bit warmer today thought.

I hope Mr N is feeling better after his vet visit.

So the best boy has been to the vet.
They ending up keeing him & sedating him.
He has had blood tests, got his claws done & has been groomed & is now looking very dapper
He has first stage kidney failure which is no surprise given his age.
He has been given a liquid painkiller.
Further results to wait for which take a couple of weeks.
He is still quite groggy but looking very dapper.

It was good that we dident have time to think about it.

DS was a star & then helped me to empty the FB donation box.
I stood & he packed it all into three trolly loads & loaded it into my car & we went to the FB & he unpacked it all into the FB to be weighed in.

FB this PM was very busy.

DS then went to pick best boy up & bring him back to the house while I was at the FB.

    Now officially shattered!!!
