Baby steps to mortgage freedom for beanielou. 4th Nov 14 at 1:19 PM
My first thread on the MFW board!!
My mortgage has 6 & 1/2 years left to run.
My income seems to decrease more & more & it becomes more & and more of a challange to pay my hefty(to me) mortgage.
I have managed an overpayment last month as I got some £££'s unexpectedly.
My biggest fear is not being able to pay my mortgage & loosing my home.
So I have decided that baby steps are the way forward~even a fiver or a tenner overpaid in a month is better than nothing.

Oh & I was at the physio today.
She is delighted I am going to get a scooter for getting around locally.
So it is not giving in but hopefully enabling less falling & more independence.
This was my biggest thing about it that I was giving in.
My thinking at the moment & it could change, it that I may well do a money transfer on my CC. Sigh.

I think you should get the scooter because it will enable you to get out and about more without worrying about falling. This in turn will improve your happiness and well being.

And it most certainly is not giving in .

Sorry to read you've had another fall Beanie. Your physiotherapist is right, along with everybody else, it really is not giving in. It would definitely give you more independence and hopefully you'd be safer when you're out and about.

A word from somebody who knows life can change quickly, get the scooter and make yourself and your well-being a top priority. xx

I'm sorry to hear you have fallen Beanie x

Covering depends on whether you think you are going to catch the scab on something overnight. If you do think that, cover it. If not, let the air get to it. A day or two of being covered doesn't really do it any harm, but air is better.

Abba. All depends on how soon I see a second hand scooter in good nick I can afford.

The annoying thing about yesterday & falling is I was only in the back garden. I would have not been using scooter anyway.

Have messaged physio & she is fitting me in again next week as all the good of yesterday’s appointment was undone when I fell. You could not make it up.

Do you know what sort you're looking for? They seem to range from £100 on The Bay to well over £1,000 so I'm assuming there's a massive difference in them?

Glad you've booked another physio appointment xx

It is definitely NOT giving in but ENABLING you.
Hope you’re not too sore and bruised.
Is there anywhere you could hire a some scooters to try before you buy to see which suits you best?

So my current aim is to buy a second hand one for getting about locally.
So not not giving in but enabling.

    But certainly not MSE.

MSE is important but your well being is more so. You NEED to get out and about for your well being - MSE is plodding along and will get there - you need the scooter to get you about and keep you socialising and doing the things you need to do.
