Baby steps to mortgage freedom for beanielou. 4th Nov 14 at 2:19 PM
My first thread on the MFW board!!
My mortgage has 6 & 1/2 years left to run.
My income seems to decrease more & more & it becomes more & and more of a challange to pay my hefty(to me) mortgage.
I have managed an overpayment last month as I got some £££'s unexpectedly.
My biggest fear is not being able to pay my mortgage & loosing my home.
So I have decided that baby steps are the way forward~even a fiver or a tenner overpaid in a month is better than nothing.

I haven't seen the weather warnings. I avoid the news as all the bad stuff just makes me worry

I hope it isn't too bad

Fingers crossed you can get all that done with no problems. I imagine its a bit of a sad task as well?

Re your earlier posts about raising some cash. This might be complete havers but I was wondering about mystery shopping? I've never done it and not even sure if its still a 'thing'. Might be worth considering if you are near a city?

Sadly I am not near enough a city for mystery shopping to be cost effective.Used to do disabled mystery shopping years ago & it was a good payer but does not seem to be a 'thing' now.

Shame re mystery shopping, I'm not near enough to the big city to try it either. That was my only idea so far.....

Just think how much you have helped them over 19 years and how many people you have helped.

It's amazing, sad it has ended though I agree

A group run here for socialising has closed just before Xmas and I think what made them more sad was the majority of people that did go where people living in care homes/sheltered housing and it was their main source of 'getting out' and seeing people.

I think more needs to be done for things that are obviously needed and are relied on by so many people

Just remember you have done an amazing job for a long time and it couldn't be helped

Beanie going back to raising money, how about a type of mystery shopping where you just review websites, make phone calls and/or send emails? No physical shopping required (You don't have to apply for ones where you order then have to return items). I used to work for them, just logged on and they are still in existence and lots of websites to review.
