Baby steps to mortgage freedom for beanielou. 4th Nov 14 at 2:19 PM
My first thread on the MFW board!!
My mortgage has 6 & 1/2 years left to run.
My income seems to decrease more & more & it becomes more & and more of a challange to pay my hefty(to me) mortgage.
I have managed an overpayment last month as I got some £££'s unexpectedly.
My biggest fear is not being able to pay my mortgage & loosing my home.
So I have decided that baby steps are the way forward~even a fiver or a tenner overpaid in a month is better than nothing.

Actually Wannabe if you are with Nationwide they pay you £100 if you refer a friend who wants to switch. If you could find someone who wants to switch to Nationwide and you refer them, you get £100 and they get £100 for switching win..win. There are terms and conditions for the switcher ( I think they need to have at least 2 DDs on the account they are switching) but all the details are on the Nationwide website.

I've looked at switching several times but it really scares me too. With DHs money being made up of bits of disability stuff and pensions all coming in at different points during the month I'd worry that it hadn't all switched in time.

Surveys are so so boring but we've had £25 payout since Christmas Eve which can't be bad.

Are there any crafts that you enjoy that could make you a few pennies on the side? You can run a hobby business as long as it makes less than £1000 a year without having to fill in any tax return forms etc.

    What about having another lodger?

How much do you want to make, is it just for a few pound in your purse or saving for something?

My sofa is as old as me nearly It's so comfortable (but quite worn in places) I don't want to ever have to replace it

Sorry you're feeling groggy, will you manage to go to sleep at a reasonable time? Hopefully after a good nights sleep you'll feel better
