Baby steps to mortgage freedom for beanielou. 4th Nov 14 at 2:19 PM
My first thread on the MFW board!!
My mortgage has 6 & 1/2 years left to run.
My income seems to decrease more & more & it becomes more & and more of a challange to pay my hefty(to me) mortgage.
I have managed an overpayment last month as I got some 's unexpectedly.
My biggest fear is not being able to pay my mortgage & loosing my home.
So I have decided that baby steps are the way forward~even a fiver or a tenner overpaid in a month is better than nothing.

So sorry to hear about your falls Beanie, I hope you are recovering well. It is such a shock when you fall, try not to let it knock your confidence x

With regards to raising some funds for your blinds. Could you do a bank switch ?

Grand National next week (or maybe the week after). Bet365 always do a bet 250 and get 125 cashback. Get in early (Thurs or Fri) and put 3 each way on every horse. You'll get 125 back, so only 125 down. You'll then definitiely get all the horses that place and there's always one that's about 50/1. Last year i cleared 200 in winnings, plus the 125 back.

Bank switches never work for us as we do not have enough income to push through the accounts....like the idea of the betting though, will have a look into that.

Beanie have you thought anymore about changing your car and getting the scooter and hoist? It would be life changing for you. DH still falls in the house but we have strategically placed furniture so that he can grab something sturdy in most areas but no falls outside now as he uses the scooter all the time. It has given him so much confidence back. It really is something to consider.

Very much up in the air for various reasons.
On this occassion I was just parking car, crossing road & then going into the building right next to traffic lights so as it was such a short distance would not have used the scooter anyway as it was such a short distance away. Ho hum.
