Need to get myself together: The beginning 16th Sep 14 at 1:38 PM
    Hi all

I am back. Short story, I was in this position before though holding a baby in my arms and his dad left us with a loan I got for him (I naively believed there was people after him) and such a bad overdraft. I managed to scrape it back and pay it all off and was on a high (figuratively) of being debt free.

Four years on I have been left (no baby this time) and foolishly beleived this guy was decent. No need to tell me off or should have known better, believe me I am my own worst enemy.

So now my debts are :

£1,000 overdraft (hope to clear by Christmas or least by January)
£200 odds Next (Yeah this is me I cannot blame anyone but myself here) I want it cleared by Christmas at least
£5,000 loan ( I am mad I know for having got it for him and he "says"will help with this but will not hold my breath as he is already asking for more money - probably for the girl he left me for...) I hope to pay this back in 2.5 years not the 5 year plan I was given.

Anyway, I am determined and I will not fail

Also need to put money aside for America in May 2015. (£125 a month) and also 52 week challenge. The reason I am going to America is its my 30th and my mum and dad are paying for this.

The first post is longer than I thought it would be I am so sorry!!

Hopefully I will be back on track soon xx

    Morning.

The plasterer has changed the date and booked in for next Wednesday 830am. And will have my dad ask him for a quote to do my boys room. So this weekend I will be completely focused on finishing stripping his room (who uses no more nails for 6 layers wallpaper!!!) and getting the rest of laminate off his walls (yup you heard right!). Anyway room is getting there. Next week when I have that done will look at the money then head to B and Q and get the wood cut there for the open cupboard sorted.

Abso done in from doing house every night myself but will get there eventually.

nothing else to add but 23 days until payday, another 5 week month also ! xx

    Morning lovely,

It's heading in the right direction

I guess with the no more nails they were making sure that the wallpaper 'stuck' to the walls.....getting it off was a different matter :/
I bet your lad can't wait until his room is done

I hate 5 week months too.

Have a great day hun xx

This is only his sleeping room, not his games room! I am going to paint it white when done and have those gold circle stickers so will make it like half wall like a triangle on way done as a design but rest simple and to make it look bigger xx

It's none of her business were you get the money from or what you spend it on.

Sooner you pay back the loan to them the better, it seems like until you do that she is always gonna be asking you about money. Hope I'm wrong!

I totally understand you wanting to pay off their loan as soon as you can, I would want to too. But please try to get an emergency fund in place before you overpay them. That way you will never ever have to go to them again. Even when the loan is repaid they are still going to criticise how you spend your money, they won't be able to help themselves.

    Morning.

At the weekend I managed to get 90% of the laminate off. I need a circular saw for part of it as previous owners slid it under the wall... nothing comes easy in this house eh lol! Plasterer says will cost approx £250 to fix my boys room. Will try my best but most likely this will be in 2019 (early)

I got the fablon on my kitchen units, ran out of fablon so I ordered another roll , so my kitchen will be fully decorated this week (if it arrives on time). My sister still to bring over dining table set they said they would give me in june lol.

Plasterer is coming out Wednesday for livingroom woo! Finally ! Started stripping wallpaper in my room, thought it would be easy but nope! Will need lining paper and then can paint.... no clue how to do this but I am sure I will learn fast enough :P!

I went out Saturday for a cpl drinks, I had cabin fever and was sick of the house. Was home for half 10

Hope all is well! Hurry up payday 17 days until payday xx
