Need to get myself together: The beginning 16th Sep 14 at 1:38 PM
    Hi all

I am back. Short story, I was in this position before though holding a baby in my arms and his dad left us with a loan I got for him (I naively believed there was people after him) and such a bad overdraft. I managed to scrape it back and pay it all off and was on a high (figuratively) of being debt free.

Four years on I have been left (no baby this time) and foolishly beleived this guy was decent. No need to tell me off or should have known better, believe me I am my own worst enemy.

So now my debts are :

£1,000 overdraft (hope to clear by Christmas or least by January)
£200 odds Next (Yeah this is me I cannot blame anyone but myself here) I want it cleared by Christmas at least
£5,000 loan ( I am mad I know for having got it for him and he "says"will help with this but will not hold my breath as he is already asking for more money - probably for the girl he left me for...) I hope to pay this back in 2.5 years not the 5 year plan I was given.

Anyway, I am determined and I will not fail

Also need to put money aside for America in May 2015. (£125 a month) and also 52 week challenge. The reason I am going to America is its my 30th and my mum and dad are paying for this.

The first post is longer than I thought it would be I am so sorry!!

Hopefully I will be back on track soon xx

    Hi lovely,

Was lovely to see the photo's you sent over, your cousins baby is sooo cute

Really glad you enjoyed your holiday too, much needed I think

GRR to the previous owners. I think your solicitors would have to fight the 'caveat emptor' that the previous owners solicitors have put across. Basically it means 'Sold as Seen' or 'Buyer Beware'. I'm not 100% clued up on this, but I think that, they will argue on those grounds.

Fantastic that you've got a plan in place, you'll soon be rid of the £4k to your parents and that mortgage will go down in leaps and bounds

Great news on the wage rise! Nice little extra

Sounds like you've got a plan in place to clear the money you owe your folks, it'll be gone before you know it.

First mortgage payment came out ahhh!!!

I also am awaiting £130 back from BT as they charged me for someone coming out without telling me they charge, says refund will be back in by next Tuesday... yeah not like I dont need money eh quick to take but not give back asap!

Cashed out £6 from PA and near OP. This will prob cover this month bread or that will need. Anything left end of month will put towards o/p to mortgage... even if its pennies xx

Britney will be amazing! I'd considered tickets but couldn't justify the cost at the time. I'm with you on Pink, Abba! I've loved her since her first single but it wasn't until I was listening to her Greatest Hits the other day that I realised how many amazing tunes she really has!

That's cheeky of BT, Monz. Glad you're getting your money back : )

I can view my mortgage online ... sad over excitement but means i know how to over pay and watch how it falls down and keep note of interest added! Also spreadsheet making page time :P... yes I am sad

Currently it is at £83,699.10 owed
I paid £464.44 first payment and after will be £450.03
    Interest was £163.54.

Going to do my first o/payment of £4.10. I know its little payment but first one and will keep doing this until house sorted xx

Morning. It is Friday woo!! My money has been refunded from BT phew! Bank doesnt look as scary now!

Off to Carlisle tomorrow to see our holiday friends cannot wait! Going bowling and laser quest... Hoping if my boy likes laser quest can book this for a party I said he cant have lol its £159.99 for ten kids and will tell him can only invite set amount.

Will see after this weekend money wise and might get something in for his birthday like a switch game... bloody fortune lol! So small but thought if I get things like that in, then will go to pound shop with £20 and bulk it up to look more? They get more expensive as older and presents get smaller looking :/

27 days until payday and my child has skinned me alive ! Need to go to bank today got a £41 cheque from changing from Scottish Power to SSE and TBC is £80 for that... take 22 weeks though lol. Also got £20 from TBC for home insurance, again 22 weeks lol.

When that comes through will send to my mum and dad and hopefully get them paid off sooner rather than later!

Have a great weekend all xx
