Need to get myself together: The beginning 16th Sep 14 at 1:38 PM
    Hi all

I am back. Short story, I was in this position before though holding a baby in my arms and his dad left us with a loan I got for him (I naively believed there was people after him) and such a bad overdraft. I managed to scrape it back and pay it all off and was on a high (figuratively) of being debt free.

Four years on I have been left (no baby this time) and foolishly beleived this guy was decent. No need to tell me off or should have known better, believe me I am my own worst enemy.

So now my debts are :

1,000 overdraft (hope to clear by Christmas or least by January)
200 odds Next (Yeah this is me I cannot blame anyone but myself here) I want it cleared by Christmas at least
5,000 loan ( I am mad I know for having got it for him and he "says"will help with this but will not hold my breath as he is already asking for more money - probably for the girl he left me for...) I hope to pay this back in 2.5 years not the 5 year plan I was given.

Anyway, I am determined and I will not fail

Also need to put money aside for America in May 2015. (125 a month) and also 52 week challenge. The reason I am going to America is its my 30th and my mum and dad are paying for this.

The first post is longer than I thought it would be I am so sorry!!

Hopefully I will be back on track soon xx

when I get word fully from mortgage people today of full confirmation, I will be phoning them tomorrow on my lunch

Finishing off a PA study next week and will be due 50 though this is due to Belfast. Hoping I will have money left over from Spain as 300 spending and All inclusive should be more than enough.

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

I mailed my mortgage adviser and she says underwriters have approved it and awaiting valuation team to sign it off which should be soon and will let me know.

Never again lol! Hoping Friday will know more. If not will mail her Friday when I finish work.

Been at training all week and not ate the sandwiches.

Also forgot to add had my first weigh in SW and lost 6 pounds in my first week xx

I've been reading your thread from the beginning - what an amazing achievement going from debt to first time home owner.

I've not seen anyone on the thread mention QMEE. It pays you for some (not all) searches you do on Google. It also lets you take surveys. I also use Receipt Hog - basically you take snaps of any receipts you get and when you've uploaded a certain number you get paid. Neither pay out huge amounts, but it builds steadily for not much effort. HTH

Thank you Animaltribe! Hope I was not boring ! Will have a look

Not been able to do surveys as out training all this week for work. Going to be a proper Welfare Rights Officer . Before was just admin

2 weeks until payday and most def counting lol!

Hoping tomorrow I get final confirmation of mortgage all gone through with valuation team. I was told I can mail my solicitor and request a move in date, so will look at my calender today. I also worked on my spreadsheet and tweaked it for "mum loan" and payments to that and what I will be left at end of month. America will be put off for another year but its for a good cause xx
