    My Diary v3.0 4th Jul 14 at 10:31 AM
    Hi All!!

Well, here it is... "My Diary v3.0"

My previous diaries (don't panic, there are only 2!) can be found here....

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=1303349&highlight=

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=2961314

Today, my signature looks like this...

    LBM ,- Wed 19th Nov 2008 19,225
    JAN 11: ONLY 170 0X 100 PAYMENTS TO GO *bank of OH @ 0%*
    *A WORK IN PROGRESS!*
    *2014 cashback pending 78.98, PAID 138.35*
    (2011=137.30, 12=66.39. 13=102.61)
    Iceland fund 458.12/ 1000 EBAY 205.50

And I should be jumping up and down with joy as it shows that I have made my last payment of 170 x 100 to my darling OH (he lent me the money interest free to clear my debts!!).

But.... actually, that should be But (coz its a big but) here I am starting a new diary on the DFW diary forum.

And that is because over the duration of my last diary (starting November 2011) I have re-borrowed 6862.26 from my darling OH! To be honest, he is sooo useless with money, that I could tell him tonight that I made my last payment to him today and he wouldn't have a clue whether that was right or not! (But he does know I have re-borrowed this amount.)

But that is not an option. Bless him, he even said a few months ago that I don't need to pay him back any more. But, this is my debt, I spent the money, and I will repay it... in full!

So, I am going to continue doing what I have been doing. Repaying 100 a week for the next 69 weeks. By my reckoning that puts my last (and I do mean last) payment as the 30th October 2015!!! GULP!

I do have a little plan though (from my previous diaries, you will note that I like a plan!). I am currently setting aside money for a trip to Iceland next year for OH's 50th birthday. 10 a week as a definite, an extra 10 a month from the reduction in my car insurance premium, all cashback earned and some account rounding-down. Target for this is 1000 by December. I am pretty much on track for this.

So, once this is done I am going to keep setting this money aside to bring my debt-free date forward. Minimum 10 a week, starting next year!

Oh, and I still running several spreadsheets! I honestly could not live without them!

So, there is my sin confessed - you have got me for a bit longer!

Feel free to pop in and keep me company! Nats x

I do want the car - I don't want the debt... even to myself (or myself + OH!).I just don't NEED the car!

Travel insurance sorted - I am covered if I travel with OH anyway, so have picked up a decently priced single trip policy (with cashback!).

EHIC cards - very useful things to have!

Our spin classes are in a room with banging music, flashing lights and UV lighting... the bit I like most is the way some of my gym gear glows in UV!

Yay but boo to the phones!

I think I need to get a handle on standard battle ropes before I try anything more adventurous! My upperbody strength is not the best - hate to think what I looked like the other evening!

Having a flat day today! Oh well - weekend off work to look forward too (even if there's no chance of a lie-in tomorrow as we have a vets appointment!)

I do not share the same view as you on EHIC, I think EHIC - another thing to lose. Oh wait already done that.

Save up for the car, then look again. Your car is spinning around ok atm getting you A to B.

    I LOVE snow!

Where did the weekend go? Was busy, busy! Kitties went for their pre-op assessment - they are there now for their op (vets had a cancellation!) Went into town, went shopping, watched the Rugby (wish we hadn't!!). Yesterday OH put the second blind up, I finally re-boxed all the xmas decs to go into the loft (more manageable now) sorted through the toiletries and then we did a tip run (honestly, we had a boot full of carp!) Then we went for a walk.... My face is red today so think I got wind burn! It was bloomin' freezing! Cooked a lovely roast last night - managed to burn my thumb though
This week I need to locate a reasonably priced cat flap. It has got to be microchip activated and have a timer - but I do object to spending 80.00 on one!

Snow watch in full flow here!

Payday! Almost as exciting as yesterdays snow and todays ice!!
Accounts checked and money moved around.
Kitties are doing well after their op... bless them, they have both been sooo loving for the last couple of nights!
Nothing else new or remotely interesting here!
Waiting, some what impatiently for the snow to come back!

Thought I would 'check-in' although there isn't really much to report...
Really disappointed by the snow. The small amount of snow we had Friday afternoon came and went.
The hunt is still on for a decent yet well priced cat flap.
Credit card statement printed out and now needs checking - not due for payment until next week though
Kitties have a vet appointment this evening - hopefully their last one for a while - didn't realising getting them neutered would be sooo time consuming!
Withdrew balance from Pro.Ac. Accidently withdrew via paypal - which is annoying!
5.50 paid for 2 new tops and a pair of jeans - vouchers covered the rest.
Fully stocked up on wine after a little trip we took with friends yesterday - approximate cost per bottle 2.85!
    And that is it!
Hope everyone is good and had managed to dig themselves out of the snow... if they had any!

So I made the error of withdrawing from PA through paypal (which was annoying enough) - last night I went to log into the bank account linked to paypal to move the money over .... and my card reader has gone missing! FFS!! I'm not worried as it is in the house somewhere - I have a feeling I put it 'somewhere safe' as I don't really use that account.
In better news, I found the lost card reader for another account - the card reader I cancelled and replaced in November last year!! lol

    Good afternoon All!
    Long time no write!
Well, all is good here... Been away on the hen-do.. not as costly as I thought it would be... still feeling tired from it though. As a result there was a little more to move over to my car fund - that should be ready to pay out and clear my loan within a couple of weeks.
    In other news....
council tax up by 7.00 / month
    V1rg1n up by 7.00 / month
Water in down by 5.00 / month
Water out down by 6.70 / month

So almost balances back to zero increase!
Also had a rebate from the water company of 50.18 (not sure why but not going to complain!)
Pulled 36.something from TCB. There is a bit pending on Q.co - but only 2.73 and I can't be bothered at the moment.
2 nights accommodation booked for the wedding we are attending in May - that will give us another 38 cashback after that.
My car has to be service and MOT'd in the next 2 weeks. It also has another issue which it will need to go in for separately... but I have extended warranty for this exact reason. I don't normally do extended warranties but at 35.90 / month for 10 months (was 33.90 / month last year for 10 months) it is more than worth it!
I think that is me up to date with anything remotely interesting. Oh, it is payday and everything has been moved around.

Hi KD! Hope you are well? Ooh, saving for a wedding! EXCITING!! x

    Morning All!
A lovely, spring like day here today... the office window is open and the breeze is still a little chilly!

My car is in the garage - has been there since Tuesday... I may get it back next week! Onthe up side I realised that it didn't need a service, so that is a couple of hundred pounds saved! On the downside, the garage do charge the maximum they are allowed to for an MOT... but as my warranty covers MOT items too, it could be worth it in the long run!

I have a settlement figure for my car and I was going to pay it off today. However..... until the warranty man has inspected my car I do not know for certain that they will cover ALL the work that needs to be carried out, so I am going to delay paying the loan off for a few more days until I find out if I have to contribute anything to the repairs (shouldn't do, but you never know!)
House-sitting for a week starting tomorrow. That would have gone in the car fund, but that will (hopefully) be gone by the time I get paid so it will go into my account to top up the extra I put toward clearing my car loan.... with me? Makes sense in my head (although I do feel like I am coming down with a cold and things are a bit muzzy!)
Have withdrawn 35.00 from Q.co - that will head into the house account.

And that is me up to date I think! Have a great weekend all! xxx

    Hi Nats

Wedding fund building up nicely here!

We had been paying over our water bill, hadn't even realised so when this year's bill came through we've paid half of it already! I've adjusted the standing order and got the extra going to the WF. In January 19 any money that was going to the WF will be going to my car fund.

It's so cold at the moment!

Not much else to report here. Hope all ok with you

    Morning!

I'm in limbo at the moment waiting for confirmation that my car is fixed and all covered under my warranty.... I am assuming that as they haven't called me to discuss the price all I have to pay for is the MOT. I will speak to them today, and if it is all good, I will pay my car off. That is me TOTALLY debt-free then (never included the car fund in my debt as it is I classed it as an asset and worth more than I have outstanding on it!)

Great news on the water bill KD!! Got to love it when things like that come to light! I love you have a wedding fund, a Christmas pot & a car fund running at the same time! Organisation is the name of the game! The weather is soo changeable here - Wednesday was lovely and sunny, it has been grey ever since with rain over night. Not sure I believe the reports of a Med-style heat wave up to 27'c next week though!

House-sitting ends Sunday afternoon and I can go home YAY! Should be around 100 winging its way to me next week.

With no more car payments, my pay rise and then an increase in my pension contributions.... as of May I will be in the region of 370 a month better off. That seems like an obscene amount of money! I do need to re-pay myself for topping up the money to clear my car loan.... I then need to look at what I am going to do with the rest! Don't get me wrong.... there is plenty that needs doing.... we need new sofas, new carpets, we need a new bed + mattress and so does DSS. Whilst we are doing that I also want to paint throughout the house (all bar 2 rooms!!) So, I think a 'make the house better fund' may be in order!!

Have a great Friday all and enjoy the weekend! xxx

I ordered a wedding dress from the bay!

It's arrived and I can't get the zip done up! I thought I was playing safe by getting one in an 18, I'm usually a 12/14! It wasn't one from China either!

Operation get in the dress has started!

On the car front, the company I work for has offered an insentive, you can lease a brand new car and after a certain period you can go on to own the car, from first impressions it seems a fairly good deal, includes servicing, insurance and maintenance, the money goes out of your wages before tax and NI is deducted. I'll have to look into it a bit more but it's an idea for next year when I start thinking about a new car again, can't believe I've had my car this long already!

    How you doing Nats?

    Morning All!

Happy Payday to me! I have been online, moved money around and tweaked my spreadsheet. Makes me happy on this awful weather morning!
My increased pension amount went out this month. I kinda guessed at what the increase would be and I over estimated by 10 a month. I am going to let this new amount settled through my spreadsheets and then I may up it again (as I do need to play catch up on my pension!). Having this months payslip would be nice too!

No more car payments though YAY!

House-sitting money received last week too.

Withdrew a few pounds from Q.co and TCB.

Finally managed to get into my T5B account today too - All I wanted to do was move some money out... been waiting a week! lol

Dress bought for my brothers wedding, almost half price! Just need shoes and a bag now! Need to sort a card and present though!

Cat flap installed - now the little bludgers can come and go as they please during the day. Will be locking them in at night for now though. I won't sleep if I don't know that they are safe!

KD - Oh no to the dress! I hope you solve the zip issue one way or another!

    Catch you all later! x
