talk me down please 21st Apr 14 at 12:12 AM
Ok 10 years ago me and OH took MIL and Aunty away the plan was during this break we would invite em to the wedding.
Before we could they stormed off and refused to answer any of my OHs calls.
OH tried to get them to talk didn't happen and the wedding went ahead.
Eventually OH and MIL are reconciled 2 years on another argument is provoked eventually reconciled then a big bust up about her not being at our wedding then reconciled rinse and repeat.
MIL has been diagnosed with terminal cancer we have been ensuring she has company food etc (regular visits) I went to her appointment with her last Fri then last Sat OH goes around to see her and the wedding row was provoked again she went in for an op Mon telling OHs sister the auntie nephews etc to not tell my OH she was in or the ward or when the op was.
OH is upset so I get the hospital info so at least we can find out how she is.
We went to see her at the hospital on Fri aft and discovered shed been discharged in the morning.
Still not called OH no contact nothing.
I am livid my OH has been beside themselves and deeply upset (which is the intention) she can't even allow people to say she is ok.
So how do I keep my OH on a nice even keel and stop myself from telling her off?

Spring has sprung ( beast from the east aside) and there are crocuses and daffodils and nice things to go out and look at.

You have porky princess et al to give you cuddles and cheer you up when you're feeling down. (And I bet none of them have just murdered a new 150 hoover -unlike some Gitdogs we could mention.)

You are doing an amazing job in keeping going and keeping fighting and it's because of that that you and OH are still hanging on in there despite everything that's happened.
You have other people fighting for you now as well with the housing and supporting evidence that they can't keep ignoring.

Gitdog would like to share his world with you.

It's great to read some positive news, Melly.
Did he give you any idea how long it might be?
Do you have to bid on a property you're interested in?
This came as a bit of a shock to me when we approached the council about a ground floor flat or bungalow for my Mum.

    Is your OH pleased?

He said that there comes a point when you forget the policy and just do something because it's the right thing to do.

    Hopefully it will happen

Not mentioned it to anyone irl (well CalleyW) don't want to jinx it

    How's everyone doing?
Today is obviously the 3rd anniversary of Mil passing
OH is asleep and that's the best place for him I think.

I thought an update was in order.

Yesterday was my birthday, I didn't mention it.
Got a flurry of messages from nephew's, niece and SIL all (bar niece who's birthday is on Sunday) popped down with lovely cards and gifts.
Made me feel really emotional as it's so clearly a thank you for last year.
OH was upset cos he didn't get me anything but incident want anything so wasn't upset.

    Belated happy birthday melly.

And how lovely that the family remembered and made the effort.
If there's any cake or candles left, chuck 'em in this direction.

I had some good news this week on the job front, which was a relief -TUPE no longer on the cards.
