The new thoughts of the day thread 12th Apr 14 at 5:06 PM
I thought i'd start a new fresh thread seeing as the old one was quite long & was started in January 2013. Hopefully this one will be a bit more lively.

Anyway my thought for the day is why are teenage girls more selfish than teenage boys (imo)? I swear Meg has caused me so much hassle compared to either of my boys & seems to think the world revolves around her.

I've been to Milton Keynes shopping today & omg it was so busy, i'm so glad I live in a small town as we don't get traffic jams.

I hope everyone is well & having a lovely weekend.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) was a prominent Lutheran pastor in Germany. He emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps. He is perhaps best remembered for his postwar words:

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I'm glad that he had a pretty good innings by human standards.

My thought for the day is.....

....it think i did the right thing trasferring to another shop. I'm finishing earlier, the people are nicer, everything runs like clockwork and so far i haven;t felt stressed. Plus it rained today so it was dead, unlike my other shop that was in a shopping center that got stupidly busy when there was bad weather

Watching Cosmos before it goes off Netflix. "Our nearest neighbour, the Moon, has no sky, no ocean, no life, just the scars of cosmic impacts." I think the Moon and I would get along.

Yup, plus it used to get loads of visitors for a short period, but now everyone's had a good look around the place, they don't bother.

And it's destined to float out there, watching all the life swarming about on Earth, but never really being a part of it.

The Moon is basically my soul mate.
