The Good Morning Thread 5th Apr 14 at 6:17 AM
Well, we've got a goodnight thread so let's have a good morning one as well.

    Good morning everybody
Me and the dog have had our morning constitutional and shortly I shall be venturing forth to the big Tesco to do my fortnightly shop. When I get home I've got 3 hours work related admin and paperwork to do

The weather here is a bit nippy but at least there's no fog.

    Ooooh! Bad move......

I actually don't have anything to do on Saturday - washing, a bit of shopping etc....but I could spend the day in bed if I so chose...

    Morning All.
Smiles all round today please, despite last night's disappointment. The team advanced further than thought possible at the start, so a big to them all!

For me, my world cup diet is now over, really don't care much who wins and shan't watch the Saturday non-event between Belgium and England.

I'd rather be eccentric than egocentric

I must admit, I was getting worried at how all the hysteria was escalating.......... a huge come-down for everyone would be inevitable in the event of us losing. Plus puts huge pressure on the team.

Still, as Sleazy said, great achievement to get as far as we did.

And now we have Trumpy's visit to look forward to!
    Oh joy. Oh rapture.

    Hi Pyxis,

Saturday's match is between the two losing semi-finalists to decide who comes third in the tournament. Never saw the point myself - I don't think the third place finishers even get a medal!

Bore da, clear blue skies this morning though it's a little cooler which is welcome.

England have done well this tournament, got further than expected but were beaten by a better team. They're young enough & I think you can count this as the start of a bright future.
