The Good Morning Thread 5th Apr 14 at 6:17 AM
Well, we've got a goodnight thread so let's have a good morning one as well.

    Good morning everybody
Me and the dog have had our morning constitutional and shortly I shall be venturing forth to the big Tesco to do my fortnightly shop. When I get home I've got 3 hours work related admin and paperwork to do

The weather here is a bit nippy but at least there's no fog.

I'm completely lost, so I've just thanked all the posts without digesting everything - sorry if I've missed any.

Do I sense the start of something beautiful?

All this Avon talk made me think about another show I absolutely loved....Sapphire & Steel.

I also had a massive crush on Steel......I think it was his general demeanour that had me hooked.....

I think this is why I am single.....

Obviously, shoes need to come off first...

I dunno, I go out for a couple of hours, and when I get back I have reams to read through, have to make serial posts to comment on the comments, and half the posters on here seem to be marrying the other half!

    It must be the heat.

Re. shoes, I have those hanging pigeonholes from Lakeland. I have four of them with 10 pigeonholes each, all full, and some overflow boxes underneath.
I'd buy more pigeonholes, but I have run out of wall.

Trouble is, I wear the same pair of shoes every day!

Actually Flick, you must be pretty rich to afford all those fancy shoes.
    I'm jealous, really see.

Now, although I may be under the thumb already, there's plenty of fine young men out there, especially from Wales (), that would probably snap your arm off, wearing shoes like that.

Is it a Potteries thing - you know " Royal Doulton Shoes" or something?

Yes they are - although I am getting them done again tomorrow. I have been going to the same woman for nearly 10 years

I get that - my boss and one of my colleagues are runners.

I can spend all day lying in the sun - as long as I have a drink and my kindle. That's pretty much what I did on holiday.

Although it was recently pointed out to me that if I am having to spend my entire holiday too tired to do anything but collapse on a sun lounger, I need to reevaluate my life!

    Nails, no.

I used to have to put some on for AmDram productions, and it was total anathema.

Ditto lying in the sun. Shudder.
Apart from it making me feel ill, I get really bored.
No, holidays for me are all about doing something specific with likeminded people and seeing the place I'm visiting.

的t is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

Thats probably the reason I'm single

Ah can't beat a good book, especially when sitting in the sun.

I'd rather dissect a page of words, though.

Despite that, I do like algebra, because it's like a puzzle, and you have to work out the answer. A bit like a crossword.

There used to be a quiz called a Masterquiz or something, in the Fail (my receptionist used to give me the puzzles pages) which was usually a mathematical conundrum, and to solve it, very often you had to construct an algebraic equation. (Just a basic one). I loved them!
