The Good Morning Thread 5th Apr 14 at 6:17 AM
Well, we've got a goodnight thread so let's have a good morning one as well.

    Good morning everybody
Me and the dog have had our morning constitutional and shortly I shall be venturing forth to the big Tesco to do my fortnightly shop. When I get home I've got 3 hours work related admin and paperwork to do

The weather here is a bit nippy but at least there's no fog.

Rest assured, Inde, that once you get past the carbuncle that is London, it all starts getting rather lovely again!

Dangerous parts around there. Vagabonds, maidens, and all sorts running amok so I've heard ....

I was very pregnant during the '96 World Cup. I try not to watch football because I do tend to get very "into" it - I was so wound up, I nearly went into labour there and then

I did see that fantastic save though.

I'll recheck the history books but it certainly seems long enough ago that there were dinosaurs from that period.

    Good morning all.
I thought I was ok but now I'm confused ... temporal time rifts, black holes and exploding super-Novas indeed.

I remember Guinan, special lady. I also liked Lieutenant Uhura in the first series of Star Trek ... trying to recall the series with Janeway and 'Seven of Nine'. Next Generation?

TNG is halfway through a repeat run on the Horror Channel at the moment.

    I. Use admit, Seven of Nine was my favourite person!

    Chalk and Cheese!

    You're missing a treat!

To be fair, the original series does seem very archaic these days, and William Shatner is a pain in the proverbials, so maybe only trekkies would still appreciate it, but TNG (The Next Generation), Voyager and DS9 (Deep Space 9) are still very watchable.

Most episodes are stand-alone, so could be watched cold. A few are two-parters.

A series that came close to the Star Trek one, though unconnected, was Stargate.
