The Good Morning Thread 5th Apr 14 at 6:17 AM
Well, we've got a goodnight thread so let's have a good morning one as well.

    Good morning everybody
Me and the dog have had our morning constitutional and shortly I shall be venturing forth to the big Tesco to do my fortnightly shop. When I get home I've got 3 hours work related admin and paperwork to do

The weather here is a bit nippy but at least there's no fog.

You can tell it to take more or less by updating your savings "mood" - so it will take small amounts, bigger etc. You have the option to invest some of the money but otherwise it's just a handy savings tool. Because the amounts are small, you don't even notice them - £3.22 here, £2.57 there etc.

It's quite handy because I don't have to think about it - it just happens and suddenly I have a little pot of money.

I nearly have enough in there to pay off my last remaining credit card debt!

Although it tends to track your spending and deduct accordingly - however, I generally top up my Monzo once a week and spend using that. I also have a separate account for my bills - again a once a month transfer. Plum must think I don't actually use my main account.

If you use your current account regularly then Plum will save less, as it knows you will be using that money.

As I do the payroll at work, I have set up a Christmas Savings Fund. Those who wish to join decide an amount each month they want deducting off their net pay - they can then draw this down just before Christmas. Or any time they want actually - there is no legal basis to it. It's proved very popular over the last few years and gives people a nice bundle of cash for Christmas.

For some reason I just like to have different pots of money in different places.

    Good Morning Saturday Squad!
Best wishes whatever you're doing, be it Travelling, Am Dramming, Wee Dramming, Dog Walking, or just ..... nothing!

Me, as per the irritated thread came out early shopping, but without means of payment ...
