Well, we've got a goodnight thread so let's have a good morning one as well.

    Good morning everybody
Me and the dog have had our morning constitutional and shortly I shall be venturing forth to the big Tesco to do my fortnightly shop. When I get home I've got 3 hours work related admin and paperwork to do

The weather here is a bit nippy but at least there's no fog.

Missed the morning so good afternoon

Baking Suki? I hate baking/cooking, just don't have the patience. And then there's the mess and the washing up

I never go anywhere I'm invited, not because I don't want to go alone, but because I'm antisocial and I hate people

Had to do the dreaded Tesco and MIL stint this morning. I mean, Tesco...and MIL...while I have faceache, it's not on

    Good morning from New Jersey!

Unbelievably, we arrived to a severe winter snow warning. Schools closed, Ds and DIL working from home.

I know what you are saying Pyx, I really do. I will end up going because I haven't seen my friend for a year or so & she is a star. We were housemates. I just have an issue with overthinking things & will often sit and kinda look a little awkward

I tell you where I would hate to go on my own, and that's a party, or at least one with more than about twelve people.

Or a pub with a lot of people.

Or a dance, (unless it was a Barn Dance where you don't need a partner and the caller tells you the steps! I love those.)

And assuming there'll be a sit-down meal, it's very different from just some party locally, iyswim.

Actually, I wouldn't get legless. I find that if I am feeling awkward, it makes me worse, and there's always the risk I might say or do something silly!

Plus, it's very liberating seeing other people slowly getting puddled when you aren't........... it lets Queen Smug emerge! Nothing like a bit of smugness for dispelling awkwardness!

My lights are on, but I'm not at home. Yet.
As it's International Women's Day, I thought that I would escort my wife on the bus in a few minutes when she goes off to work....

She likes her peace & quiet listening to music on the bus, so I'll just mumble to myself as usual . That should embarrass her nicely .....
