Well, we've got a goodnight thread so let's have a good morning one as well.

    Good morning everybody
Me and the dog have had our morning constitutional and shortly I shall be venturing forth to the big Tesco to do my fortnightly shop. When I get home I've got 3 hours work related admin and paperwork to do

The weather here is a bit nippy but at least there's no fog.

    Fixed the fence

Well, sort of...temp fix til I can get time to sort it properly in summer. I feel a major bodge job coming on

The wind was very strong yesterday, seems like some of you are getting it today.

Here's a pic of what the wind did to the screws in the fence.

The fence I built last year, which is 30m long and 2m high is still up, I was expecting to find it all over the garden

    Yup, quite parky out there!

At least the wind has finally disappeared.

The house is always so much colder when it's windy, especially as I have very few floor coverings downstairs (long story) and the prevailing winds whistle through the air bricks and up through the floorboards.

My feet are always freezing downstairs.

It's amazing how much warmer it is upstairs.

Even going up a three-step step-ladder to get something from a top shelf in the kitchen proves how well heat rises! Come down from the ceiling, heat!

I once had a ceiling fan that had a special downbeat mode that was supposed to push the hot air downwards in winter, (as opposed to cooling the room), but it didn't seem to help. Just made me feel cool, which wasn't the idea!
