Eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge - part two

Eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge - part two 21st Oct 13 at 9:17 AM
As the previous thread here had got very long, this is a new one for a continuation of the discussion.

From the original first post of the previous thread:

OK my freezer and stock cupboards are crammed full. I realise have spent a lot of money in the food in there. I want to save money by using these and only buy:
    . Milk
    . Fruit/Veg
    . Bread
    . Yoghurt
. Breakfast cereal (only have 2 unopened packets)
. Sandwich fillings (have one pack of ham in the freezer)

as these things I eat virtually every day

Until one of the following happens
. I ran out of food
. I have only fish fingers and cornflakes left.

It will be a challenge as I'm on weight watchers so I have to be extra creative to keep my points down.

No local weekend shopping purchases yesterday (Saturday). Worked out approximately how much free blackberries and free blackcurrants have been had so far (approx. 2 kilo) and still some left.

I recently bought a delicious gf granola from M&S, I don't live any where near to a store and it was rather expensive, so today I am going to raid the stores for oats, coconut, seeds, nuts and dried fruit and see what I can concoct. I will be putting the oven on to bake some bread for OH so should tie in nicely.

Just a bit of "yellow-sticker" salad purchased yesterday.

Update at the end of the second week of my mini-challenge ( to reduce freezer contents of two full drawers to just one full drawer by the end of this month) :-

The space in the two freezer drawers appear to make up 85% emptied so far.

OUT of Freezer - HM Soup for evening meal tonight. Leek & Potato for OH and Magic Soup for me .

Will need to buy some fresh milk, fresh fruit and 'buttery spread' today - and I'm sure that I won't be able to walk past the 'whoopsie cabinet' without at least having a look at it !

Since last Monday, did something similar to Olliebeak1951. Went out for some exercise and called in a superstore to check the "cheap fridge." Consequently, purchased some "yellow stickers" along with a few regularly bought items.

No more blackcurrants left in the freezer. 2018 provided for free 992gr.

Went shopping for somebody else yesterday. Consequently, checked for any food "yellow-stickers" and the "clearance" shelves for myself. Didn't purchase anything.

At the end of today, I will assess freezer space remaining.

Two "huge" cauliflowers purchased yesterday at reduced price.

Update at the end of the third week of my mini-challenge (to reduce freezer contents of two full freezer drawers to just one by the end of the month) :-

The space in the two freezer drawers appear to make up 79% emptied so far. So, stayed more or less the same as the week before.
