Sorry to hear you've been having (and probably will still have) spendy times, Puzz, but at least you're having fun and making memories

. You certainly have a better, more interesting life than me
Feeling really annoyed this morning as I've had to sort out a problem with my bank's DD to Capital One. I was delighted to get this credit card and have worked so hard to use it properly, always paying the balance in full by DD every month. As a result, because I was such a good girl

, they doubled my credit limit from £500 to £1000. It's not that I want or need this amount of money and certainly don't intend to spend it but I feel my rehabilitation towards financial reliability had really started after my horrendous mess-ups over credit in the past.
I decided to jump the gun at the end of April and pay the full card balance online a few days prior to the DD due date. All went well, payment confirmed etc and I had plenty of money in my current account to cover it. Fast forward to this morning when I checked my bank statement online only to see that Cap One attempted to also take the full balance by DD when I'd already paid it in full a few days previously

. This resulted in the DD payment being returned and my bank account having a £56 deficit showing

.
Nationwide were brilliant on the phone, said it was just a timing issue and as I had a basic account which is designed to help people with their finances there is never any fee added for this sort of mess

. I quickly phoned Cap One as I didn't want any negative markers on my credit card account. The nice man immediately waived the £12 fee

. I just wanted them to know that I'm a reliable borrower and have bust a gut to maintain my unblemished record with them.
I hope you have good news from AAD about your 'enforceable' debt

. I still need to scan and transmit my paperwork about my old Tesco one that I had to wait 8 months to receive. What they sent looks very scant to me, I'm keeping everything crossed that it isn't compliant.
Have a lovely Bank Holiday long weekend

. I'm doing a car boot sale on Sunday and Monday. I really MUST get this clutter out of my life. Any cash made from it will be nice too
