Prestige Flowers - Anything but Prestige 17th Dec 12 at 11:31 AM
Look at their website. Looks good. Implies you're going to get Prestige flowers delivered with care from a local florist. Prices are definitely Prestige.

What you actually get are flowers in a box in the post. Yes, really. They rely on the postman to deliver these. So much for paying a premium for hand-delivered flowers....

Just ordered flowers that turned up 3 days late.

And dont get me started on their postal charge. It says free delivery all the way through. You enter delivery address, message etc then just as you pay they add on a delivery charge.

How many people get this far and think sod it I've done it now?

    NEVER EVER AGAIN.

No point complaining via twitter. Keep an eye on their account. Loads of complaints but they delete them as fast as they appear.

    Very dissapointed experience
Ordered a medium bouquet for a colleague that was leaving (£25 + £5 delivery that you only notice at the end) . The bouquet arrived on time, however, it was a small bouquet with 6 roses just (not at all looking like the picture). Almost all the flowers had faded petals... I was very embarrassed!! I contacted Prestige Flowers, send them the picture of the bouquet and they just offered £5 back and told me to remove the faded pedals and put the cut stems in boiling water... I don't think I will buy flowers from them again...

All these messages are the one reason I won't buy flowers online - they hardly ever look like the picture when they arrive!

    Prestige Flowers - Poor Service
I ordered flowers, a balloon and cake for my Mother Birthday from Prestige flowers. I placed the order 6 days in days in advance and they didnít arrive! I understand that sometimes things can go wrong, but I was obviously very disappointed, especially since I had ordered them well in advance. I contacted the Company and expressed my disappointment. To my horror, instead of trying to put things right or offer me a refund, Prestige Flowers was only interested in quoting back to me their terms and conditions. Now Iím a reasonable person, but to send me your terms and conditions when youíre clearly at fault certainly wasnít the response I was expecting. For time sensitive gifts and in fact all gifts because of their lack of interest in resolving problems when things do go wrong , I wonít be using this Company in future. Donít think just because youíve ordered them well in advance, that they will actually be received by your loved ones on your specified date and donít expect refunds or after sales service. At time of writing, still no delivery and still no refund. Copy of response attached:
    Good Morning

    Thank you for your email.

I am sorry that you feel this way. However, there is an asterix next to where it advises next day. This refers to our terms and conditions.

When you place an order with Prestige Gifting Ltd, either by telephone or via the website you are deemed to have read and understood the following terms and conditions.

    4.1
We cannot guarantee a delivery date as delivery is executed via a third party, but will endeavour to deliver on your desired date as all flowers, except for hand delivered products, are dispatched the day before the intended delivery day using a 24 hour delivery service the day before your chosen date. In the event a delivery is not made on the specified date we cannot offer a refund unless extra was paid for same day delivery, however for exceptions please see our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Delivery days are 7 days a week with except for Bank holidays. Any orders made for delivery on a bank holiday may be delivered the next working day unless otherwise stated. Next day flower deliveries are delivered via Royal Mail, DPD and DX. Hamper and larger gift deliveries may take an extra working day in transit.

I am sorry if this was missed. Please let me know if I can help with anything else

    Thank you for your time

Im having huge issues with Prestige Flowers!
My partner made an order a week ago and the payment came out of my account (his wages go directly to my account)
Since not hearing or seeing any flowers I have contacted them and they can't find the order, not even with my card details, however the bank have said that it has definitely left the account!?
They won't communicate with me and aren't interested in helping me in the slightest!
Has anyone else had this problem and know how to get through to them?

    Made the same mistake
I ordered flowers to be delivered to Germany 5 days in advance from the UK. No delivery on the day nor on the next three days. They told me that the flowers were delivered and sent me a confirmation about a delivery to the Netherlands. Asked for a refund. Refund was denied. Very unprofessional customer support. Flowers should have been for my mom's 75th birthday. Disappointed her and burnt £35 for absolutely nothing. Eskalated case in Paypal.
    PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!!

I ordered a large bunch of roses on 19/12/17 for a friend (and her family) who was seriously ill and who passed away before the flowers arrived 16 days later.... Dead, The whole point was expediency and a 'prestige' service and produce. The flowers arrived today and can you imagine how I felt when my friend's bereaved sister showed me the photo of the flowers...brown and dead...I was totally mortified. I called PF... was kept waiting and then Told in no uncertain terms that I could not receive a new bouquet and a refund...as it was not policy. Sharks and totally inhumane. Am completely mortified. I ordered in good faith and at an extremely sensitive time. Shame on Prestige Flowers - not a prestige produce or service.

    Avoid this company
I ordered flowers for my mum for Mother's Day. They looked sparse and miserable when removed from the cellophane. Within one day, the leaves were crispy and flower heads drooping over. I emailed with photos and asked for a refund. They offered me a £5 voucher and said it was the fault of the courier and not their responsibility. Since then, they have ignored my emails and the number I managed to find for them cuts off as soon as it rings.
I looked on their Facebook page. Their posts have lots of cheesy comments about flowers by what appear to be fake Facebook profiles. Take a look and see what you think... They all post similar things, have no privacy settings on their own accounts and post similar types of things on their own pages.
None of this is behaviour of a reputable company. Wish I'd looked into them more closely before I ordered. Money down the drain.

I think there's a common theme here sadly.

Bea1971 - one point, they can't fob you off onto the courier, the courier is their responsibility as they hire them. Your contract is with the flower company. (Unless you personally organised the courier to go collect the flowers of course).

An old thread about Prestige Flowers, certainly, but one justifiably renewed every time someone has a justifiable complaint about Prestige Flowers. And of course, search engines trawling the Web do get around to MSE and posts about Prestige Flowers such as those which say:

Do not go anywhere near Prestige Flowers

and that has an effect on updating Prestige Flowers' results for anyone seeking information about Prestige Flowers.

I'm disgusted by prestige flowers and their awful customer service, PayPal wouldn't help me which is a first (as its a perishable item?). Also I am astounded as to the number questionable reviews on what I thought was a reputable review website uk.trustpilot.com, so please if you've had a bad experience share it!

So as other victims have said avoid prestige flowers but also and it really pains me to say it.... The online cancer research flower shop!!

Unbelievable that a charity of Cancer Research UK's standing has done this. It's not as though the saga of Prestige Flowers is a secret: innumerable complaints have been raised on this forum over the years, not only in this thread but predecessor versions.

As it would've taken Cancer Research UK all of 5 minutes' effort to exercise due diligence, one has to wonder just how competent its 'research' is in any other area.

The previous poster's contribution is welcome but it would be better if anyone concerned as to the nature of this particular Cancer Research UK commercial tie-up, or dissatisfied with its 'Flower Shop' service, made a note of this:

    http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-us/how-we-are-run/chief-executive-and-executive-board

and, specifically, the names of the CEO; the Executive Director, Fundraising & Marketing; and the Executive Director, Philanthropy & Partnerships, all of whom will (or should) have been party to this particular arrangement.

The email address for the charity is:

    supporter.services@cancer.org.uk.

Abysmal Flowers - total waste of money
Motherís Day Bouquet- arrived in the post via Royal Mail on Friday before Mothering Sunday. On opening the box, they looked ok, a bunch of lillies with closed buds.
Put them into a vase with water and added the flower food sachet enclosed. Then waited. And waited. And waited.
Supposed to be double flowering rose lillies, looked pretty spectacular on Prestige website... mine never opened, just went brown, shrivelled up and died.
With reluctance I told my son (after he asked me to send a photo of the flowers which he had sent) that they had died and sent him a photo of a bunch of shrivelled buds. He complained to Prestige- I complained to Prestige, they just trotted out the Ď48 hour window to complainí after that, forget it. Tried reasoning that lillies can take longer than that to open, but no joy.
They take your money and run.

I have tried to search the thread, so please forgive me if it is already here, but just to let you know that Home Bargains Flowers are run by the Prestige group too. I just had a lucky escape when a friend mentioned it, and I checked again on the website. Cancelled my order.
I appreciate Each and Every win. I thank every comp poster from the bottom of my heart

    Prestige (no way)
Ordered flowers, bear and choc's for 40th birthday, choose day 5th June to France, no problem, paid and placed order. Tracking these i thought it strange that they came from Netherlands, (no florists in France then ?), three days later they where still in Netherlands, after a few emails and some frustration, they arrived today 11th, box battered, taped up with DPD tape, flowers had withered, only a miracle, or maybe miracle grow would bring them back to life, so fires off another mail, and long behold, this is the reply ???.

hank you for your e-mail and the attached photos.

I have shown the pictures to our florist manager who has suggested following the flower care instructions provided on the message card. We understand you may know all too well how to look after flowers and this advice is presented out of a desire to help you get the most out of your flowers.

Since the flowers have been in a box for delivery for a day, they will be thirsty and need to breathe fresh air for a while.
It is useful to trim the stems of the blooms at a 45 degree angle to ensure that they can absorb as much water as possible.
Place the flowers in fresh water. Replace the water completely every day with fresh, clean, room temperature water, using the flower feed provided.

After you have followed this care procedure, they should start to look as fresh as when they were first picked. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me after a couple of days if they have not perked up, as we are happy to help you further if they have not improved.

    Thank you for your understanding.
