Please forgive the corny thread title inspired by The Who, but this post on the bloated 'how do I make the most of it' thread prompted me to initiate a new one...
    Hi Everyone,
I haven't been here for a while, and am interested to see discussion of how much is being generated, rather than what to do with it.

It seems to drop below that figure before it reaches 13.55 (optimum orientation). Final figure was just over 14kWh.

BTW, there was an item about solar generation in Germany on the radio today; you can stream it here:

Just click on the speaker symbol on the left, then drag the time cursor at the bottom to 25mins 30 secs then release.

A very welcome 2.63 Os. 20.5 kWh is only 86% of daily PVGIS but I was expecting much worse. Other than the safety margin the IBoost insists on, I think we used all of the generation today (and maybe a bit more). I am now going to sit myself down in front of the plasma tv and not worry I don’t have a battery as today there would have been nothing to go in it.

A useful 3.6 O's today. Insolation not considered then about right for an average April day here!
East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. Nissan Leaf plus one dirty diesel. Still waiting for V2H and home storage to become available at sensible cost.

    Where’s the sunshine?

Why are weather forecasters so hopeless? A gorgeous day forecast and it is the worst start this month. We are normally generating at least 1kw by 8am even when it is overcast and over 2kw on a sunny day. Today only 200w

Much better now though, despite a bit of high cloud. We have been stuck on the edge of a mass of cloud which just never moved but has eventually burned away. It looked much brighter out your way. About 2.5 kwh behind yesterday which wasn’t a great day and 4 kwh behind Monday which was a good day.

I wouldn’t have been so bothered if every forecast I looked at this morning hadn’t been suggesting today was going to be the day.

Now all that is left is a thin haze and the sun is shifting away from the east panels to the west we have settled down to a very consistent 3.9kw or thereabouts which is about 0.5 kw down on what we were getting on Monday Under a similar sky. This consistent sun isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. On the intermittently sunny/cloudy days we were seeing 5.9kw peaks. I am just wondering if on those cloudy/sunny days overall production might be a bit higher.
