    Back to the original post...

    Hi everyone.

We're very aware from past discussion threads that issues surrounding the collapse of the DGM affiliate network and the non-payment of cashback is still an issue that people feel needs discussion. We're entirely happy for people to discuss it on this separate DGM discussion thread so that it doesn't prevent other forum users getting the answers they need to their other queries. In the past this has often clogged up other threads with pages of posts and has disrupted the question and answer format for other users.

So we're going to start things from scratch, with a clean slate, with two separate discussion threads, one for DGM discussion, one for cashback questions for Quidco (this one).

Please remember though, libellous posts including any implication of fraud, lying, cheating aren't tolerated on this forum. Where they're reported to us they'll be removed and we will stop user accounts that keep pushing acceptable boundaries as we are liable.

Again, any posts made about DGM on this or other threads will be removed when reported and if persistent will result in further action on that user account.

Please also remember to keep on topic. This is for people to ask about Quidco. If you want to discuss other cashback sites then please start a separate thread if there isn't one already.

    Please help us with this.

Finally a reminder that MSE has no special relationship with Quidco. It's included in our Cashback Sites guide along with other cashback sites so we take comments to the contrary very seriously.

    Thanks

Do people get the impression that quidco is getting really quite rubbish nowadays?

All my claims with M&S track at the wrong amount, can't be corrected and are eventually declined (especially the Advent calendar ones).
Other sales track lower than I expect and am then told it's because cashback isn't payable on VAT when I didn't know the price included VAT.
It took me a whole year to get 3.50 for a Post Office foreign exchange purchase. I know it was a year because it was confirmed when I booked my next holiday!
I used Trainline 3 times in the space of a week and have had to claim for all the transactions - not one of them tracked. Might only be pennies, but the pennies add up! They'll probably decline all 3.
There - in that place; they're - they are; their - owned by them.
If you have nothing constructive to say, just move along.

Really getting fed up with Quidco now.

Made a large purchase at the weekend with Currys/PC world( when they were offering the 10 bonus.) It tracked immediately but two days later has been declined.

Have put in a claim but if this does not payout I will not be using them anymore. I will be off to TCB.

How can you contact Quidco? I lost a good amount of credit through "Dormant user claimed credit" even though I have never had a 12month period without logging in.

This support article suggests I should be able to get it back by contacting customer support, but every link redirects to the on screen help pages, without physically being able to contact them! Its not related to a specific retailer which is the only option I found.

Thank you! Do you know if there's been a change on the quidco site itself, spent ages trawling though and all the links redirect to the help pages. What happened to the online chat / official rep on MSE?

Quidco and Sky Cashback : Advice Please
    Hello Everyone

any suggestions with help would be great.

I was with BT for all services but switched to SKY for TV/Broadband/Phone because Quidco was offering 135 cashback. The cashback was the deal maker.

June 2017 was the switch date however it didn't track when I switched, within 2 days I raised a Quidco claim and it remembered the date/time I did the switch so I thought all would be OK. Months went by with no news

Yesterday 14 months later I was told it was declined.
I have raised it with Quidco support again but they can't help and have offered 5 compensation which seems a bit poor.

Any ideas on what I can do next ? If I had known this would have happened I would not have switched.

Sky are not interested and Quidco want me to go away for a fiver

Has anyone else experienced anything similar ?

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Sadly, cashback should never be relied upon when making purchasing decisions, as so many variables can prevent its payout. Always go for the deal excluding cashback and treat anything you receive as a bonus

Well , if one company is offering zero to switch and another 135 to switch you are going to make the 135 your option to switch.

I appreciate that cashback is not always guaranteed but companies should be held to account when they offer things and fail.

In this case Quidco have let me down after being with them for over 11 years.
I expect more from them the than a 5 sorry

Trying to contact quidco via email on their support page, but it has been telling me for over a week now that the message has failed.
Can't use chat as I'm not a premium member.
Any suggestions as to how I can get hold of them?

    Cashback not tracked.
Used Quidco compare to look at bike insurance. Went with Swinton 40 cashback but this has not tracked. Contacted support to make a claim but it says can tak up to seven weeks to track so will wait a couple of more weeks but I am not hopeful. I used Quidco compare last year and bought insurance from rias which was declined about ten months later saying I had not cleared my cookies. I always clear before purchase so wondering if it's not so good using Quidco compare? I have been a member for many years but getting a little disheartened.

    Double the Difference Guarantee
Sorry if this has already been covered, but I was chuffed when I found out about Quidco's "double the difference guarantee" where if TopCashback have a better rate than them they would double the difference in the rate offered. So if Quidco - 8% and TCB 10% Quidco would pay you 12%

However after reading the Ts&Cs it seems to be a bit of a scam. Anything I've ever used Quidco or TCB for is excluded!

Quidco’s ‘double the difference’ Highest Cashback Guarantee will be applied to all retailers aside from those in the following categories: travel, utilities, finance, insurance, telecoms, subscription services, gambling, bingo, casino, poker and sportsbook.
In the aforementioned categories a maximum 10% top up will be applied to retailer rates. In these cases we will beat the advertised cashback rate on a rival UK cashback site by 10% (for example, 10% will be increased to 11%)

So it's still good that they'll beat it by 10% but the headline grabbing "double the difference" is a marketing scam, there isn't much I would get it for because it's the bigger things like travel, utilities, finance, insurance and telecoms I use it for.

I do feel a bit bad about the above rant after using the highest cashback guarantee in the “excluded” categories.

I deliberately went through Quidco for home
Insurance which tracked at 42.50 when TCB has offered 50. I made a claim and they accepted it, 50 plus 10% is 55. You really can’t complain about that. I did the same when taking out a credit card. TCB offered 21 and Quidco offered 20. Again they accepted my claim and will be paying me 23.10. A very good trick, despite as I said the somewhat misleading headline “double the difference” slogan when most stuff will just beaten by 10%.

Took out a Beagle Street Life Insurance over 6 months ago, which tracked. I've been paying the monthly premium ever since.

A big incentive going with them was the cashback, Quidco are saying it could take another 5 months to be confirmed.

Whats the chances if I cancel it but still get the cashback?
