Insert By Martin 2 June 2011.

I'm sad to report Chris (Hyder) has just passed away. This thread will be left open if people would like to post tribute messages. We have all been inspired by an incredible man.

    Martin

The following is posted later in this thread by Chris' sister

    Dear All,

Unfortunately my brother lost his battle this morning. He died peacefully at home, in no pain with his family around him.
We would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support over the past few months, we know it meant a lot to Chris and all of us.
Please understand that we need peace and time to come to terms with it all.
Love Lesley, Jo, Mike, Cyn & Family x

    RIP BRO x x x

Hi all, been a while since i've posted! I've been around 5/6 yrs some know me a lot probably don't. For the last 11 months I have been battling a bad illness, hence i've just been around in stealth. Some of you are fully aware of the situation keeping upto date on my facebook, and if anyone else wants to find out your more than welcome to add me on there if you want. Saves turning the arms into a moping pot, i've loved coming here and reading all the funny and fabulous threads over the years, and the reality threads at their times, some great memories.

So i'm off to fit in what i can from my "bucket list" which is on my fb wall, brief but busy times ahead!

Take care all... Hyder (chris hyde)

Update 14 April: Chris' family has asked us to say many thanks to everyone leaving friend requests on Facebook, it's very kind, but as it involves Chris having to add more and more people could we keep discussion and questions for Chris on this forum thread now so he and they can read them all in one place. Thank you!

I don't really know you, but know how bad it feels knowing someone who only has a short time left thus admire your courage and outlook

Enjoy every second of what you have left and get all that 'bucket list' completed.

    Enjoy what you can

You sound brave and dignified, Mr Chris Hyde. I try not to be sentimental on a monday, but this thread has really touched me. I've not had the pleasure of posting with you... but I get a feeling I'd have liked it.

    Hi Chris

Sorry that you are going thru this. I haven't had the pleasure of knowing you either but I hope I am able to remain as dignified as you if I am ever faced with the same.

Enjoy completing your list and spending time with loved ones
