    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for 6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the 3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card 6000
    BOS CC 1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ 124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card 3245.39 Paying 200 a month into this
BOS CC 1559.81 Paying minimum payment of 34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly 50 a month but last year is was over 80 a month so saving 30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying 200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess 200 plus the 34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have 360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

Your holiday savings are looking AWESOME! Well done! You're right, you will be living like kings out there Where we are going is on the Euro so it'll just be like spending at home probably.

My friend has two pugs and although they're cute, they're so noisy! Every breath is like snoring and I'm pretty noise sensitive so i just couldn't. It's bad enough listening to my husband snore at night, without a dog 'snoring' all day every day They are cute little creatures though!

Oh my it's been 5 days since I've been on here and it blooming shows

My bank has taken a hit with eating out a couple of time spent during the weekend, picked up some holiday stuff for me, got my hair dyed all whilst not thinking about how it impacts my account and it certainly showed when I logged on but hey ho such is life

I transferred 500 into lira last week as hit hit 8 lira to the 1 so I now have 781.26 in there which is roughly 6100 lira this is just short of what we took last time so that's good and I have 604.73 in my savings account so that's 1385.99 in total very pleased with this and still got 6 weeks and 5 days to go til we are off

We will be heading to Livingston on the 15th June as that's the only weekend we have free in June to do our clothes shopping for holiday so that's the plan

Started work at 7.15am this morning weve been out the back all morning (sunscreen applied ) girls have been playing away I've managed to get a huge pile of ironing done, 3 washloads on the line had to strip the boys bedding as Kk had a nose bleed in his sleep last night as he's got a cold so my whirly is full of clean washing........means more ironing but all my washing baskets are empty love this weather for for wash loads

Also managed to deweed the area closet to the house round the back garden some of those weeds are on steroids will see if I can get some more done later on today

It'll be a lsd day today as I need juice so will nip to the shop whilst I drop the girls off at nursery tho my other mindee wants to just chill out after.....can't blame her she looks knackered so this will cost me 2

I need to get back on my diary every day as it keeps me in check but it's been a nice change to loosen the purse strings a bit and I think ive worked very hard so far this year with clearing debt xx

    Afternoon

Been a busy morning shattered from last night as Kk has a horrible cough and every time he coughed his nose bled ended up waking up at 5.50pm with him coughing ended up wide awake

Kk was all chuffed to see the tooth fairy paid him another visit

Sorted out the returns for the avon as delivery was due today

Had a newbie mindee starting today it went well we went to toddlers in the town 2.50 via the bus 4.20 had to buy drinks as it's roasting here today 1.90 my other mindee had fun the wee newbie was a bit clingy but perfectly understandable but he's away home now will be back tomorrow

Avon is now here and I've sat on my butt saying my lunch and watching my programs before I do the school run and nursery runs

Have a child protection course tonight from 7pm til 9pm hopefully this is the last course for a while

Transferred more money into the saving fund need to figure a cut out amount as I really want to clear my laptop off my card

Oh and my tax credit renewal has came in so need to finalise my accounts then I can declare our income for last year will aim to do this by the end of the week xx

Your're doing really well on the holiday savings Abba . How much do you reckon a holiday costs for five people, including flights, accommodation, spending money etc? I'm just curious in case I decide to set a holiday savings target sometime.

As for spending money I just try and save as much as I can and any left goes towards getting school stuff after the holiday or towards the boys birthdays in August but last time we went to turkey we took 1500 with us and I came back with 450

    Afternoon

Productive morning so far washing out on the line before 8am kitchen cleaned before my new mindee started at 9.15am

Seeing as it was a bit cooler I decided we would go for a walk to Tesco as I needed to swap at bottle of conditioner for shampoo after I accidentally bought 2 bottles of the stuff

So swapped it no bother plus spent 7.17 on a ready meal for me for my lunch, chicken slices, cucumber, toothpaste and spring onions for our salad for tonight

Wee one crashed out on the way back and slept for a hour so let him sleep out the back garden woke him up before mum picked him up what a grump but he's away home now and my other mindee is just finishing off his lunch

Paid 12 for kks school trips 7 for Millport in June and 5 for summer school whichever he said he is going to so proud of him for pushing himself as he's a very anxious kid yet he's really trying to push himself xx

Xander is off to Alton towers tonight with the school will give him 40 spending money and I'll take him out tonight's after dinner to get juice and snacks for the bus plus he needs a packed lunch but I did a extra shift for 25 on Monday so only need to get 15 for him my gran is taking him to the school tonight as it's a late drop off 11.45pm and it'll be the same for tomorrow night when they get back so it was lovely that she offered

Still doing the healthy eating with Myfitnesspal, hubby has lost half a stone and I'm not that far behind him at 5.5lb so hoping on Saturday I'll have lost a bit more as I'm only 6.5lbs from my holiday weight hubby is wanting to lose another stone in 6 weeks but I think he can do it as he's eating a lot more salads and has curbed the unhealthy snacks at night so he's doing really well so proud of him

Plans for when mindee is napping is to clean the bathroom got some new zoflora so hoping it makes the bathroom smell lovely then once he's awake it's off to do the school run then it's off to the park for a wee while.......might as well make the most of the weather

Right off to set the travel cot up ready for nap time

Afternoon wee one having a nap so jumped on here

Manic day today, woke up feeling shattered Kk had me up again with his choking cough at 4am this morning, bounced from one wall to another before I got to his room so need to take him to chemist as his hay fever is really bad this year so hopefully they can give him something

Started work a total 7.15am organised some avon deliveries that were to be delivered this morning the it was off to playgroup 2 to set up then it was down to the school at 9.30am as my wee mindee I sent doing her school transition day today for a hour then it was back up to playgroup did the snacks then started organ in game my avon order forms to go in the books later on tonight as I have deliveries tonight

Went to bakers bought lunch 3.40 then it was home for lunch then the nursery run, dropped another book off at the local shops for someone then walked the long way home from the shops so the wee one fell asleep in the buggy

Juggled money about I have 790.79 in my preloaded card and I have 1010 in my savings so my aim is to save 2000 for spending money but we have a few day trips planned whilst in turkey which include :

    Trip to Greece 180
    Boat ride: 90
Hunting for turtles (kks obsessed with turtles) 120
    Buggy safari 80

So a few pricy days planned out but it's my last holiday with Abbie I reckon so going big

Plus need money for air con and safe whilst in the hotel but I need to get English money for that will check on the fb how much exactly we are needing for that

So once I have the 2000 in total I'm concentrating on money for holiday clothes /trainers and after the 15th June I intend to clear the laptop off my Halifax card so I can come back and tackle the loan for the windows

Avon deliveries are getting done tonight but I'm two kids down Xander is at Alton towers with the school and won't be back til 10pm and Abbie is away to the boyfriends this weekend so I'll be extra tired but no deliveries no extra pennies

Right must go iPad about to die xx

Hi Abba. Have been lurking on your diary for a long time but don't think I've ever commented but my DD is the same with the coughing when her hayfever is bad. Doctors have given her an inhaler and we give her Piriton, which help but the best thing we have found to help was buying her an humidifier for her bedroom. Not sure if you have one already but thought I'd mention it the one we got was around 15 I think and comes with a remote and can be used as a night light too.

    Your holiday sounds fabulous!

    Morning

Was super busy yesterday but had a productive day was working 7.15am til 6pm yesterday

Set up playgroup 2 24 kids attended but it was quite quiet considering how many kids were there

Did the usual running about in the afternoon with lunch and nursery runs

Whilst wee mindee was sleeping I managed to finalise my accounts and submit my earning to hmrc then I renewed my tax credits straight after so that's another big job done

Also managed to sort out some old paperwork which was under my bed so I have a big pile to shred and I've cleared a space under my bed

Managed to get Xander his holiday trainers got a pair of Nike air reduced from 95 to 60 yes I know expensive but he's in gents sizes so this is actually a good price as he can only wear Nike air as he splits trainers in the middle don't ask it's the way he walks but these types of trainers don't do that

Also managed to get hubby two flip flops for holiday superdry on which on their website were 20 each I managed to get both pairs for 20 so a couple of bargains

Avon a pain right now got loads of returns which affect my commission but this is avons fault as they sent me loads of stuff I didn't order but charged me for I told which affected my commission. Got three deliveries tonight got enough to pay my invoice but 51 of that is in my bank so I'll wait til I get the cash as I like to pay at the post office

Need to go to local shop and get a card put money in it as it's my nephews birthday this week, my gran is dropping it off tomorrow so need to get it today mustn't forget xx

No money news as pennies getting tight due to it being a 5 week month plus mortgage due out on 28th so need to be careful xx

I keep yawning today must be lack of sugar

Hubby lost another pound on Saturday..........that 8lbs I stayed the same so trying even harder this week got 5 weeks and 5 days to lose 6lb so here's hoping it can be done

Sold a pile of abbies old clothes on fb got 20 for them gave it to hubby for petrol money as he's complaining he's skint bless him he really hates 5 week months

Also managed to get two washloads out on the line today and did a pile of ironing which needs put away later on

Got 4 avon deliveries tonight will just walk the route today gets everyone out for a wee walk

Hubby selling his laptop I bought him need to get pictures and get it on fb as he never uses it and tbh he doesn't like it blooming picky men

Aiming to sort out our visa 12 x 5 = 60 plus travel insurance is about 30 thankfully I'm getting paid on Friday from my temporary mindees mum and it's 90 I'm due to get paid so this will cover that so even tho this weekend will be tight I'll manage to sort some more things out for this holiday

Need to message abbies friends mum with my bank details and the link for the visa so I know that that's done and dusted don't want any last minute panics before we go........never took someone else's kid away with us before she's 17 not a kid but you know what I mean

Sooooooooo tired this healthy eating malarkey is tiring
