Abba1772's Debt Free Diary 26th Oct 10 at 11:38 PM
    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

    Afternoon

Been working since 8am will finished at 5pm today lots to do tho

Got two washloads out on the clothes line before we went to playgroup

Was a quiet playgroup but that's because the sunshine is out

Will be dropping the boys off at nursery then coming back for my afternoon mindee and we will be taking a walk to drop off the tool to be delivered that I sold on eBay

Parent finally paid me after I said I wouldnt be looking after her son if I didn't receive payment today and I transfered what's left of the eBay money so sent another big payment towards my Florida tickets I've now paid off £1471.86 got just under four weeks to clear £1981.14 will just keep hitting it as hard as I can, I'm due money from the insurance company I'm thinking of just putting it all towards the tickets means it won't go on the credit card will discuss with hubby what to do later on today

Applied for a couple of jobs for hubby last night and I think we will be looking into applying for the college course tonight get the ball rolling xx

Right off to get ready xx

Hubby hasn't been to the garage since Monday afternoon and he is a lot happier and he's slept good last night

He's out of it thank goodness as he was close to a mental breakdown and he spoke to his business partner and they both agreed for him to step away

He's also applied for college that his uncle works at and because of his experience he'll get fast tracked past the first course and moved up a level therefore cutting 6 months off his course so hoping he gets in so fingers crossed everyone as there's a guaranteed job after it

Made some £1.75 on a survey got rejected on another one

    Afternoon

Woke up early this morning so jumped in the shower, took a survey on PA (this has been terribly slow of late) then bleached the bathroom within a inch of its life all before anyone else got up this morning

Started work at 8am then set up playgroup 16 kids attended came home and fed the munchkins their lunch......they are all finished and building dens right now

I've nearly collected all my avon orders once I've collected them I'll have £100 to send towards the Florida tickets which means I'll be so close to paying off £2k so far as I've paid off £1892.12 I'm determined to not put this on the credit card I really am

I've booked the van in for it's park and ride from the airport will cost £80 but we pay that in cash on arrival and I've printed my esta visas so I'm getting organised

Need hubby to get the suitcases down from the loft as Xander is away to London for 4 days with the school tomorrow so need to pack his stuff tonight and hubby is taking him to get his hair cut after school

Sold a smart trike someone is collecting it today for £25 so I'll just use that money for hair cut and his snacks for this bus saves it coming out of my bank account and more space in the garage

Is it wrong I want to start packing for holiday as all the stuff is piling up in the room I'm getting a tad excited I think.....right off to drop kids off at nursery and pay my avon invoice xx
