    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

Good luck with the laser surgery, the thought of it makes me shiver, so I'd be interested to hear how it goes.

Can you get a refund for the cancelled train?

I promise I haven't abandoned my diary just super super busy.

Well I had my bad luck / mojo on Friday the 13th one of my parents have given me notice as she's changing her hours luckily he was my newest mindee and I didn't rely on that money as I sent it straight to the debt so I'll have him for 4 more weeks and then he's gone, will miss he patter as it's so funny xx

So I'll need to advertise the space hopefully someone will want it

Today I got weighed lost 2.5lb so I'm back on it unfortunately only did my video once this week as I've busted my shoulder and it's very very painful need hubby to give me a massage

Bit the bullet and paid the holiday off money has been added to the Halifax card a total 0% bit bummed the balance is up but I'll get this back down after the holiday I promise

Might need to stop paying towards the Halifax card and tackle the tickets for Disney world and universal as don't want to add to my debt anymore so will make my payment towards the Halifax to it under the £1k of my original debt then I will concentrate on getting the tickets down as the Halifax need to be paid by the 6th June which isn't long Away

Have nearly completed my complaint to the ombudsman regarding our treatment of us purchasing the dodgy brand new car just need hubby to add any technical terms to it or if I've missed anything. I'm not hoping for much but would like to get reimbursed for the different of how much they valued the car at and we had to take over into our new finance agreement because I found it wasn't dodgy then we would have still the other car ..........if we get anything from it it'll go straight towards the Halifax as it'll be money we've not missed xx

Gutted my living room and my kitchen......bought wallpaper for my large kitchen cupboard need to strip the walls and apply mould resistant stuff on it as it's quite a cold cupboard but ideal for storing the bins / ironing board / cleaning products. Wallpaper was £12 reduced to £9 so got three rolls and hoping to use only 2 so might do that tomorrow. Mil thinks I'm nuts as she says nobody see it........I see it and that's all that matters

Our wall is finally coming down skip is ordered for Wednesday hubby has a couple of days off next week to help me when I get my eyes done but I won't be able to help as I'll not be allowed near any dusty environments for a while xx

    Evening

    Productive day today

Power washed all my outdoor toys and put them in the garage out the way before the wall got dismantled

Did some heavy lifting out in the garden moving rubble from the back garden to the front garden ready for the skip arriving on Tuesday

Hubby has pulled down half the wall

Took the boys and Abbie for their haircuts before the go back to school tomorrow £29 for four haircuts

Sorted out my food cupboard cause hubby was moaning about not having anything in the house to eat cue me sorting it out and lining everything up.........OCD flare up hubby calls it that ended up chucking a black bag full of stuff some good expired 2014 omg what a waste but it let me see what we don't need for our next shop as we have plenty of pasta, noodles, tinned veg, jar of sauces etc so we should save money on the monthly shop on Wednesday xx

Sorted out my paperwork folder chucked a big pile away and have put in my massive pile of paperwork in the folder........feels good to be organised

Nearly completed this form for the ombudsman regarding our old car just need to add dates and upload pictures and it will be submitted so fingers crossed for us xx

Off to bed back to normal tomorrow kids are back at school after the Easter holidays

    Afternoon

Went to the college meeting last night turns out I only need to do two extra modules which is great news and shouldn't cost me too much but it needs done x

Came home at 8.30pm and helped hubby for a hour clearing the rubble from the back garden and we managed to fill a skip can only put a little bit more in the skip before another is needed which is booked in for tomorrow

Been a busy morning started work at 7.30am intended on having a quiet morning in as I had stuff to do so got some activities ready for the wee ones which they happily played with whilst I got little jobs done

My hallway and stairs are cleared looks much neater got the decluttering bug I think hubby thinks my OCD is rearing its ugly head again because I'm getting anxious about my eye surgery tomorrow he can't complain tho as my house is much cleaner now

Gutted the fridge and cleaned it so it's nice and sparkly put the Tupperware tubs away in the cupboard instead of people stacking them on top of the fridge considering the cupboard for the tubs is right above the fridge

Did a small ironing pile whilst the wee ones had their lunch which is all put away as well

Dropped kids off at nursery and dropped off a a black bag to a charity bin for the school xx

Plans for tonight is to do our monthly food shop at lidl then we will tackle the wall until it gets dark as both boys are away to their grans tonight so it mean so we are only left with Abbie and she can help us when she finishes her volunteering job at 7.30pm

No debt repayments today feeling guilty about that but I'll be fine sent a large payment towards my park tickets

Off to see what other I can clean next
