Abba1772's Debt Free Diary 26th Oct 10 at 11:38 PM
    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

    Afternoon

A cheeky £10 sent towards the Halifax card bringing it under another £100 threshold can't wait to get this under the £4K mark

Kids are eating lunch so thought I would jump on

Managed to do an hour of ironing this morning whilst the kids had their breakfast before school reckon I have another hours worth of ironing left tho but needs must

Started work at 7.30am won't finish til 6pm

Went to toddlers £3 via the bus £4 was a quiet group today meant there was more biscuits for my greedy kids

Need to nip to homebargains for fairy non bio £3.99 and then I need to pop to lidl for cold meat, milk and some fruit so I've got £10 in my purse hoping to stay under budget will go when I've dropped this lot at nursery and I've picked up my afternoon mindee up............she loves the bus

Will have after schoolers tonight but need to get my three fed before 6pm as we have a maths tutor coming out to coach Abbie before her math exam next week.......not got a price yet but it's the only subject she's truely struggling with so we need to get in extra help xx

Need to chase the home insurance regarding our claim was told it was verified as a go before Xmas so when I hadn't received any money into the bank to pay the builder it turns out it wasn't verified as they needed to ask the builder a few questions but he's on holiday until the 12th ffs just want my wall sorted as the kids haven't been out the back since September

Off to get ready for round two of running about

That's been happening to me lately, it doesn't help that food keeps going up in price .

    Morning

    Yesterday was a nsd

Today won't be as need raisins, tomato sauce, mushrooms, kitchen foil, chips and a light bulb for abbies room as it blew the other night and tripped my electrics

It's a easy sort of day today don't start work til 1pm, been up got a shower and chilled with Kk for a while, filled out xanders form for his high school transfer omg where did the time go ????

So I'm working 1pm til 5pm so seeing as it's a sunny day I'll be heading to Aldi for my little bits and poundstretcher for the bulbs with my wee mindee and grab some fresh air

Got avon to do tonight not many books to pick up tonight and I need to message a few to see I feel they want anything.......I think I'm past the £400 and I've gained another new customer

Decided that half the avon will be sent towards the Halifax and the rest will remain in my purse means I won't need to touch my bank account

Need to book my Florida park tickets managed to get a price match and saved just under £300 plus got tickets for the Kennedy space centre flung in for free so massaged them to say I found a code for mse which gives me a discount of £6 per person but might be chancing my luck here they can only say no but need to put the deposit down for the tickets this weekend........deposit money already set aside for this so at least I'm a bit prepared for this holiday

Off for some cuddles with Kk before he goes to nursery xx
