Rice, help with freezing, reheating and eating please! 13th Apr 06 at 10:33 AM
I have just heard that rice is one of the biggest causes of food poisoning so I'm now a little wary about it. I don't really know much about it.

I would like to take rice salads to work with me in the summer, if I made a large batch of rice and froze it in portions would I just be able to defrost a portion and make a salad with it?

If I am reheating rice I just make sure that it is piping hot don't I???

    Hope you can help!!

    Thanks.

I freeze rize together with leftover chilli con carne and so on Both OH and I are still alive after eating it Just make sure it's piping hot and DON'T leave it out after you've cooked it. Cool and then freeze ASAP to stop any bacteria
