    What's this about?

Travel savvy group Lonely Planet is producing mini-guides for various worldwide destinations to coincide with renowned events taking place this year.

In honour of last week's Eurovision Song Contest there's a guide for Russia, and there's one for Rome as well, which is hosting the Champions League Final on 27 May.

Plus there's a guide for South Africa, in preparation for the British and Irish Lions rugby tour, which starts on 30 May, and one for Kazakstan, in time for the England World Cup qualifiers on 6 June.

Although aimed especially for the specific events, if you're travelling to Rome, Russia, South Africa or Kazakstan any time soon, each mini-guide gives basic up to date tips and phrases to keep you in good stead.

    How to get 'em

The free mini-guides are availble in PDF straight from Lonely Planet's website: Rome, Russia, South Africa and Kazakstan.
