    i have been asked to find a good free program that will work with ms outlook express to block or filter spam e-mail.

    anyone have any ideas?

    www.spam.org has lots of anti spam info and will helps you set up your own spam filters.

    www.spamache.com is pretty good (although not free) - seems to catch 90%+ of my spam.

    I have been using Spamihilator for many months. Its filter 'learns' what is and sin't spam from your inputs, so improving detection and filtering.

    It's a good (and free!) program.

    If you are using Outlook Express as your mail client (POP3, it doesn't support web based email) then I've found that K9 is one of the best SPAM stoppers around. It can be found at ... http://keir.net/k9.html. I hope this'll be useful to someone.
