The Good Morning Thread 5th Apr 14 at 6:17 AM
Well, we've got a goodnight thread so let's have a good morning one as well.

    Good morning everybody
Me and the dog have had our morning constitutional and shortly I shall be venturing forth to the big Tesco to do my fortnightly shop. When I get home I've got 3 hours work related admin and paperwork to do

The weather here is a bit nippy but at least there's no fog.

Good morning citizens, Catholic, Protestant and Heathen.

Reports of my demise have been greatly exacerbated!
I am still here and very much alive, though slightly singed.

    Good Morning ...
Fairly busy day planned sorting stuff at home.
Depends how much I get side-tracked I suppose.

Dark, dismal and light rain when I left the house this morning.

Looks like it may be brightening up though.

Good morning to any fellow insomniacs, and a later morning to those who will hopefully follow.

I don't need to tell you that I can't sleep, because you're a clever lot.
All I'll say is that it wasn't because I was worrying over me lottery win. The one that I don't do.

    Good morning.

I heard rain a couple of hours ago, but it seems quiet now, and I haven't looked out of the window yet.
It's still not too cold though. It was colder a couple of weeks ago.

Does anyone remember this film? I don't.

Just thought it might be a good thing to show on TV around this time.
    (Note the bolder bit).

    "Remembrance" (1982 film)

    QUOTE from Wiki:
Remembrance is a British ensemble drama about Royal Navy ratings of HMS Raleigh, who are about to embark on a six-month naval exercise.
The film is noteworthy for early appearances of several well-known British actors, including Timothy Spall, Lisa Maxwell and John Altman, and it was Gary Oldman's film debut.[2][3].
It was an early production from Channel Four Films and was shown in the first week of Channel 4 broadcasting[4].
It was also one of the first films in the UK to be shown on television less than three years after its initial cinema release (a delay enforced at the time by the Cinema Exhibitors' Association)[5].

    Plot

The film does not have a simple plot, but rather cuts between the interweaving stories of several characters, as they prepare for the coming months away at sea.
The action centres around the bars and clubs of the Union Street district of Plymouth.
One major event that affects all the characters is the hospitalisation, and eventual death, of Daniel (Gary Oldman) after a violent assault by a nightclub bouncer.
