about the fireworks, but at least you've had a great outcome in terms of marking! Are there any other fireworks near you next weekend? We were also away this weekend so missed some of the fireworks, but I've got a couple of events marked in the calendar for next weekend instead!

I am sorry I missed them but I managed to do loads of work so hopefully after this week work will be more manageable. I have pretty much worked every day this week (in my hols) hopefully it will pay off.

I bought loads more bulbs for the garden total cost 54.00. I will be spending much time in it if the weather is like this summer so I want it to be gorgeous!

    Roll on payday.

Hurrah the bulbs have arrived. I will plant them this weekend I hope. My garden will look superb in the spring. Muscari and a load of purple and white tulips and aliums.

Im trying not to spend any money as I spent a lot last month.

This weekend I have some prep to do and a bit of marking.

I had to ask a friend who overstayed her welcome to leave (last week) as my lodger was getting really frustrated. She was v upset but always stays for too long and I am just too busy at work to look after her.

    Hey ho.

Sorry to hear about your friend SW, hope she is ok and it hasn't ended your friendship. It's obviously so lovely at your place staying with you she didn't want to go ? It's hard to leave if you normally live alone and are lonely too. I always struggle when I've been away and have to come home to real life again

The bulbs sound lovely. Your garden will be glorious !!

Let's just say I am glad to have my bedroom back. I don't have to get dressed in a corridor anymore!

I am going to be planting bulbs today. Quite a few of them. lol. 220 bulbs planted - lots of purple tulips and muscari bulbs. I have also ordered some black night tulips and some blue hyacinths. total spend 32.50. I also spent 17 on takeaway but that will feed me for days.

I know I have been naughty. I'm going to be good.

I seem to have spent a tremendous amount on food at work so I will try to eat sandwiches tonight. There is going to be change at work I just hope I am ok. Wouldn't it be great if I could just wish the nasties away? I just have to remember that I am saving. Plus I have a great summer job so I don't have to think about the creeps just about the nice ones I work with and the money.

    lol.

I owe 247 on my credit card. Not good I have gone a bit nuts buying things recently and am going to cut back as much as possible. I am forgetting that I should be concentrating on the long run rather than buying things now.

Thank goodness for Friday. I've been invited out this Sunday for a meal but don't know if I can afford it which is just as well as it will pour down with rain for most of the weekend. I always say I will stop having meals out and then I don't. Well now I can't afford to so I will stay in this weekend and tidy up.

More bulbs have arrived and I have a plan for the pots at the front of the house. Everyone at work is booking lovely holidays for Christmas and I am just staying at home. Quite a few people are paying for house moves and I don't know how they can afford it with the job climate being so fragile.

Only 3 weeks till the next payday. lol.

Its so easy to run up the credit card bill isn't it. Even though I had planned to spend on mine to spread the cost of larger items at 0% I still hate it ! People are probably booking their xmas hols on their credit cards ! Are your family coming for xmas ? Can you plan a meal for friends and get them to each bring part of the meal instead of xmas gifts ?

I don't suppose you could get your friends on board with mse and go somewhere cheaper so you can afford to go out for meals too ?

    Have a good weekend x

My spendy friends like to go to the cinema and then the big food shopping complex close by and it is soooo expensive. They don't like to change their routine. They have inheritances and work full time earning almost double what I do. Neither of my spendy friends like to tidy v much that's why they are always out shopping or eating as their houses are 'hoarded'. It's funny how we are all different. I will do this with other friends though. lol.

I have done a fair bit of tidying (washing, vacuuming, made beds) and planted another 100 bulbs. I am also sorting out some of the drawers in my room and sorting out some work papers as I couldn't when Susan stayed. It is nice just to be able to do a bit of tidying.

There is a storm outside and it's torrential rain on and off. Glad I am not outside today. I might see if I can just buy what food I need from the corner shop tomorrow to avoid a supermarket shop.

I have some prep to do tomorrow and then a work meeting on my day off. Roll on summer hols.

I am at home getting ready for a work meeting on my day off. This is such a rubbish task for one of the subjects that is so unprepared. I am rushing as I loathe it.

To take my mind off it I have done some tidying. lol.

I don't think my university houses were ever as clean and tidy as when we were revising for exams - cleaning and tidying seems to be a very female method of procrastination, doesn't it???

Hello , this is the 3rd time that I have posted but they keep disappearing into the Universe!

Work meeting was fine. I have been posting all my tulips and alliums this week. Parents have come and are looking after me. I have marked and also done some resting.

The temperature is taking a turn for the worse this weekend. We have had the heating on for a good 4 hours everyday whilst parents are here.

On a positive front I haven't bought anything from fleabay or anything at all. I have had a refund of xmas meal money from work as they have changed the day.

I just wish I could avoid wasting money. I have fallen in the trap of eating cooked roasts at work and it is sooo expensive. I will take sarnies in for the rest of the month as I am having to borrow money for my credit card from the emergency fund. Still I am happy and healthy and all is well so I cant be down.

I must be MSE, I must, I must.

Oh a roast sounds lovely, especially in this cold weather.

Could you take soup with your sandwich so you are still getting something hot?
