gas safe installer

Just had a bad experience with gas engineer. He installed Boiler and modern day tank."Therma Q - Unicyl".


We were recommended to get Gas safe in by another engineer.


Turned out 14 faults (7 directly attributable to the original engineer). Trouble is, few were related to gas, more the electrical side. so, gas safe walks away, and we have to stump up for recommended repairs £1100.00.
Gas engineer seems to mock Gas safe. I am concerned because one of the faults would have scalded us with steam if it blew, (the tank).


This man needs stopping. Have reported to citizens advice who have passed the report to trading standards.


I am concerned about libel and slander on our side. can i send the gas reports to all the boiler manufacturers? it appears to be "our word against his".


even if we go to small claims court he may win. (If he does, can he claim costs against us?). No press.
