You ended up with an effect a bit like this

unless of course you coc ked it up. I have to say I still like it....
We sponged a bathroom in our 4 bed detached Victorian house in the early '90s. Having ripped out the previous owner's (a 91 year old woman) pink suite, we fitted an original cast iron roll top bath - the underside of which we painted burnt orange (!!!) - as well as an original basin and toilet. DH tiled the lower; walls with brown tiles from Original Style and I sponged the upper walls in a mix of brown, burnt orange and cream......
At the window I draped an orange tie dye cotton throw.
Sounds hideous now but actually looked nice......imho, anyway, lol!Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

The numbers thing seems to have disappeared from my iPad, but did discover that once it's posted you can use the edit button to remove them.0 -

It's probably a good thing that streetview is refusing to show itself, otherwise I might be able to work out the location of the notional flagpole and make sarky pedantic remarks about the Union Jack being upside down.0 -
Something weird about the house but the samurai sword above the fireplace would put me off.
Listing says cellar used as bedroom but no photo?0 -
