That was a rotten day, Mrs_R! I hope your London trip makes up for it; you deserve it.

Sunshine, will the council not come out for your rats. They did for my Mum and also for my son, when they found mice.

I didn’t have my buttery piece and now I don’t have any bread!

    Great result, Msm.

Well done on your restraint, maman. Now you can celebrate the Saints’ win!

Bairns failed to win – again! But at least they didn’t lose. Now 1 point off the bottom ☹

Sorry to say that the council is rather rubbish, the neighbours had employed a specialist company but they were rubbish...OH is best placed to get rid of them.

Thanks greentiger . I'm just celebrating now! About to watch MOTD although they probably won't say much about us.

Lunch went well, everyone enjoyed themselves. I didn't do too badly but couldn't be a party pooper.

I shared a starter of chicken wings, potato skins and mozzarella sticks( I didn't eat these) and then I had a chicken Caesar main. Syns were in oil, bit of cheese, minimum chicken skin and some mayo and croutons. Then a few gins. OMG sounds awful when I list it.

Oh well, back on plan tomorrow until Wednesday. :)
  • Did a big shop today, so all set for the week ahead. Bought heb bread in the main supermarket in town as I thought Aldi didn't do one. Then discovered a bread I hadn't noticed in Aldi before. Checked it on the app and it's a heb at a fraction of the cost. I know which one I'll be getting in future!

I get the point about the syns in the protein bar I had for lunch yesterday. It won't be an everyday occurance, and I probably won't buy anymore when I run out, but I'm not going to let the ones I have go to waste :money:

Here's what I had for day 2. Any feedback welcome. I think it's starting to come back to me now, although I did have to bring a list of speed with me when I was shopping!

B apple, pear, peach, Yoplait super frutii yogurt, cholesterol yogurt drink (2)
L mugshot, Clementine, fibre one (4)
D speedy spag bol, quark, options (2), strawberries
Snacks banana, spicy toms (4.5), 2 hi-fi bars (hxb)
    Hxa milk for tea
    Syns 12.5

Wow! That's a load of Speed fruit. Well done. :T and well done for being organised!

Out of curiosity what are fibre one and spicy tomatoes?

All I'd say is try to have a balance of Speed fruit and vegetables as fruit is higher in sugar but I'm nitpicking really. SW reviewed the fruit list a while ago and limited the Speed ones.

Which bread did you buy in Aldi? I didn't think they did one any more either.

    Evening all
Blimey what a day! Was on a very tight schedule and so a lot of rushing was done today. I've tried to make the best food choices I could- not easy when my friend was feeding her face with chips, doritos, chocolate :(
But at least I've done plenty of body magic today :D And we won- 31-33 so a bonus point win which lifts us to second in the table.

    Today's menu:
B: Overnight Oats (HEXB) decaf coffee with HEXA S/S
L: Big ham pasta salad, duck sushi taster (1 syn) melon and grapes, water
Half time snack: Sunbites salted popcorn (4 syns) more melon, pineapple, water
Snack on train home: Salt and vinegar popchips (5 syns) water
T: Sausage and egg butty (6 syns for bread) cup of decaf tea with HEXA S/S
    Syns: 16
    Body magic: 11102 steps
Yes I know today's food is light on speed :D I think I did okay though considering my limited opportunities to buy food :D
    Night all xx

I'm terrible with veg so trying to make up for it with fruit :o I know the veg is a better option though. I used to eat no veg at all so I'm making progress. Still experimenting to work out which ones I like. Bought some tenderstem brocolli today to try. I don't like normal brocolli but I think a lot of it is the size of it. I'll get there.

The Aldi bread is Ballymore crust thins. It was mentioned in my group last week but I thought they ment the thins as in the sandwich thins. (Does that even make sense?) But saw it today and it's actually a loaf of bread. 2 slices for hxb or 5.5 syns. (I'm in Ireland so the brand name might be different in UK. I've noticed a few differences. Ballymore crust is the brand name they put on most of there bread here.)

Fibre One are little cakey bars. They come in chocolate brownie, salted caramel and lemon drizzle. All flavours are 4 syns I think. All the main supermarkets sell them, but they can be pricey if not on offer.

Spicy toms I had never heard of before either. Found them in the specials aisle in Aldi today. They're corn crisps made by Golden Wonder. Really enjoyed them. I'll be stocking up next time I'm in.

  • Morning all!

Well I didn't have my curry but had a steak from Aldi (which was very nice) tomatoes, mushrooms and whilst the others had chips from the chip shop, I had butternut fusilli.....though one or two chips were pinched from the others' plates.

I must have upped my fluid intake as I had to get up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet, first time in a long time.

Breakfast gas been the usual cereal & yogurt & lunch/dinner will be sausage casserole with carrots & broccoli.

I will go kayaking tonight and swimming/go to the gym at least 3 times this week.

    Have a good day everyone

    Thanks for the info whiplashy.:)

My Aldi, which is a largish branch, doesn't sell any small loaves at all now. I'll look out for the 'thins' but it may be local to you. Lidl did a small loaf which was tasty but they don't sell those in our city centre branch, hopefully the bigger branch does them when I go there next. I feel cheated with my HEB if I can only have a single slice from a large loaf.:(

wiz had a similar problem with eating veg. She went down the list and found a few things she does like but, like you, makes up her Speed with fruit. Also, she can eat veg in soup which she doesn't like whole on her plate if that makes sense. On the fruit side you should be OK if you try to stick with the Speed stuff rather than grapes and pineapple and the other free ones.

I'm going to be on plan today except for some syns this evening. I've had a big breakfast and don't feel hungry at all at the moment so I'm going to go for a snack at lunchtime but I have other things in if I feel peckish. I'm also going to put Bolognese in the SC before I go out this afternoon to keep the freezer stocked with HM ready meals.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, fried egg, ham, tomatoes, mushrooms
    L: satsumas
S: roast chicken, SW roasties, roast BNS, swede/carrot mash, red cabbage, cauli, broccoli
    Syns: gravy, gin
  • Hi all, 1lb on :(

Can anyone tell me if sourdough bread is a healthy E please? If not syns? :A thanks in advance :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
