  • Hello Sue and the team!

I am so happy to see you all still here after my disappearance last year.

If you'll have me back I'll do better at being around this year and hopefully beat last years total.

Starting my SPC 12 with the bit of change I didn't manage to count up and in 11 days when the payment is taken I will be officially debt free (never had a mortgage)!

Put £20 of coins in the credit union yesterday, nice start to the new savings year:j
.Everywhere else I am moving money out, into the CA for Xmas,so its satisfying putting my coins into the CU and seeing it grow.:)
    :
  • Having rubbish day - back pain horrendous and gutted found out hubby's work messed his claims up for months and months. We need to pay back £1075 - £400 Dec, £400 Jan, £275 Feb.

I'm still stuck on SSP so we're really having to tighten our belts. Have moved DD on mortgage from start of month to end which gains us 'spare' £500 in December so Christmas is achieveable. I'm determined not to add to debt or touch our £1000 EF.

With regards to my SPC I still have a lovely £27.75 sat in there and no matter how skint we are, it stays put!

I've been surveying like a crazy woman last two days and have £10.89 cleared £3.96 pending. I'm going to keep going and earn as much as I can, but am sad to say that this cash may not end up in the SPC.

Hey-ho, we're all still alive, still smiling and are together. We have a lovely home and the bills are paid. Just feel like i've been kicked when I'm down and it's twice as hard as Christmas.

    Morning all!

I've got FOUR £2 coins to add in this week, it's currently in this week's shopping budget. I shall be swapping out my envelopes tomorrow (I run Saturday to Friday with a new envelope for each week), so I'll add them in tomorrow :T

Not managed to find any road kill this week, but I'll keep looking! Nothing better than free money :rotfl:
  • Afternoon potters

Had some better days for the pot - £2.50 yesterday, then £2.74 today plus the magnificent sum of 11p that DH found on cleaning out his car!

Have also set up a separate instant access savings account (account recommended by MSE of course! :money:) to use solely for survey rewards. Have initiated cashing out on 3 sites for an approximate total of £69 so far :T Will then be easy on declaration day to add this total to what I have in the pot. Have decided I’m aiming for a total of £1000 this year :D

Choccygirl - sorry you’re having a rubbish day. Am very impressed with your determination despite unforeseen costs, and even more so by your £1000 emergency fund :T - this is something I’m working on but it’s slow going! Hope the back pain eases up :)
Beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship.
    Debt at highest = £62,842.59 (Dec 2018) - now £44,611.39 (Oct 2021)
    Emergency fund £268.63 / £1000
