  • On checking it looks like I have to wait another 6 days to switch tariff penalty free as it has to be 50 days or less to the end of the fix.

I have done a comparison on :money: energy saving club and it says the Scottish power tariff would be £46 a year more than I am paying now but I can get £25 cash back so overall it would be very similar to what I am paying now . Hope that tariff is still on offer in 6 days time !

I think its great you are changing energy supplier very proactive. Selling the dog things on gumtree is good too. You sound very MSE. I think the weather will get better this weekend.

Just working out my budget for this month. £100 of the balance is usually also savings but will now be used to pay onto the 0% credit card. That leaves a buffer of £28.74 which I will carry forward to December and use to pay for a hair cut/colour for Christmas :D

  • Hoping for a NSD today ! I was feeling a bit glum yesterday. Am considering switching my current account to pay for the clothes I have bought. Most of them are going back but for the few I am keeping it would be nice to have free clothes. I have been with the same bank for 30 years ! I am thinking of going to Halifax for £125 reward.

I am still waiting for waterproof walking shoes, wellies and everyday boots which should be delivered to shoe zone this week and I have ordered a regatta waterproof thermal (dog walking) coat from ebay for £19 which is a bargain price. My existing coats are only light shower proof macs not good enough for winter weather and I don't want to wear my everyday padded winter jacket as she has already bitten a hole in the arm :(

I need to get focussed today and get some stuff done as I was very lazy yesterday.

    1. sew up hole in arm of coat

    2. wash out old pet carrier used when first brought puppy home
We are considering donating all 3 carriers to a local animal charity which gives out vouchers for half price spaying. We will need to get puppy done at 6months so a half price voucher would be fab

    3. disinfect / scrub patio

    4. washing and ironing work clothes. Hoping for a nice weather day today. I washed towels yesterday afternoon once the rain stopped and they finished on airers overnight. We had the heating on for 15 minutes at 6pm and 9pm to take the chill off.

    5. check old paperwork to make sure I have never had PPI. I don't think so but worth checking

Puppy has been quite chilled about fireworks and doesn't seem too bothered by all the loud noise. She slept through most of the noise last night so hoping will be the same tonight.

  • Managed 2 puppy walks, 2 loads of washing, scrubbed the patio and hoovered downstairs today. I also sewed up the hole in the arm of my coat which will save me buying a new one. As its black its hardly noticeable. :)

Really well done on puppy walks.

Naughty puppy, fancy eating a coat?!!!! Hopefully she will snap out of this soon. I remember my mum used to despair when our dog did this and he was soooo good when he was older.

Lovely tenant has just arrived. All is well. He is being v nice. I think it will last.

  • Puppy class last night went really well and she was so good ! When I let her off the lead she just quietly followed me back to my seat :D last week she ran in the opposite direction :rotfl:
DS came too and she was good for him also. By the time we got home we were both tired so had a naughty takeaway.

Tonight I am cooking gammon which we are having with jacket potato, veg and cheese sauce. Its cold and wet so this is lovely comfort food.

I collected my shoe order today and the boots I ordered are like a pair of slippers they are lovely and only cost £14.99. The waterproof walking shoes/trainers are fab and my feet have stayed lovely and dry after a walk on the muddy fields with puppy this evening. No soggy socks, cost £39.99 so reasonable price to pay. :p The quilted short black wellies are going back as I cant get my feet in them £19.99 will be refunded to 0% credit card. (try typing wellies into your next post and see what MSE auto-correct changes it to :rotfl:.. sorry being a bit childish :o;) )

I have received a refund on my old credit card from paypal for the boiler part and the balance is now zero. Can you believe it though I had an email from the boiler company thanking me for my order and saying they will send me the part once my payment has cleared !!! They have had my order since 16 October and didn't bother to reply before. I have sent them a reply telling them paypal has already given me my money back.

I returned one puppy toy to the range today for a refund, she only picked it up a few times and it was falling apart, she hadn't even chewed it ! Instead I got her a new squeaky ball and a rubber bone. Tomorrow we have a muscle foods order coming DS is waiting in for that, we have ordered the twice as nice deal again. http://www.musclefood.com/twice-as-nice
I am going to be returning most of the clothes I ordered from George.

  • I took most of the clothes I ordered back to asda today for a refund of £135 onto credit card. I have kept 3 pairs of jeans £30 and 2 jumpers £32. I have reordered 3 pairs of black work trousers in a shorter length, as the regular ones I buy are longer this year than my old ones ! total £18. I have also reordered one of the tops in a larger size £8 and another jumper £16. That should see me through the winter.

Our muscle food order arrived today £54.99 so total grocery spend so far this month £136.02. That should last a few weeks.

I had leftover gammon & veg & cheese sauce for dinner. DS has gone out for the evening. Puppy is in bed snoring after our puppy walk at 4pm. Early night tonight I think

  • Very tired again today. Had a puppy walk earlier and haven't done much else since work.

I have just applied to switch my current account to Halifax for £125 reward. 7 days should be completed by 17/11. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.
