"I've reached out to them..."

I'm reaching out to my fellow forumers to ask that they stop reaching out and revert to getting in touch or simply contacting.

Please help. It makes my eyes bleed!:(

I believe it is only acceptable to use the term "Reach Out" if you are a member of the Four Tops
    Not even wrong

Or Depeche Mode where they quoted words to live by 'reach out, touch cake'.

NOT eat it though, just touch. Saves on the calories.

I would also prefer it if people could stop being super excited, or think people are super nice, unless they're five years old and going to a super birthday party.

    It's making me super sick.

What makes 'getting in touch' better than 'reaching out'?

    Contacting is better than either.

On a similar issue - why can't people just like something, they always have to be "passionate" about it!

Why do people have to use the word 'always' when they mean 'often' or 'sometimes'? No one 'always' uses the word passionate, just like they don't always 'love'.., sometimes they just 'like' or 'fancy' or 'lust after' someone.

I think people who use the word 'always' are a bit desperate to persuade and not worried about accuracy.
