Afprb 2009

Does anyone know when the Armed Forces Pay Review Body reports to Parliament? It get's later and later each year ( though not a major problem as they pay the increase from Apr).
Just get the feeling we will feel the brunt of the economic crisis this government has put us in.

Three % would be great although I fancy it's delayed due to 'people' changing increases by splitting them ie Apr 1.5, sept 1.2% etc.

Nothing like a bit of political interference especially when they are being hauled over the coals for their second home expense claims ;)

To be honest, I'm just thankful I'm in a secure job at the moment the way the rest of the country is suffering. Anything above 0% is a bonus in these harsh times.

  • Interesting to note that in 2007, the report wasn't published until 1st March. At the time is was considered to be long overdue. I would suggest this be a backstop to work to - so hopefully we will hear something this week.

  • 1 Mar maybe accurate as that is when the revised JSP 752 is being released.
  • That makes sense. Of course, the announcement could come tomorrow ahead of the revised JSP 752 being published.

  • Of course, whilst trying to remain optimistic...........Could it be that the pay rise is announced on a day where there are no deaths in Theatre and a "big" story can "bury" it on the national news?

Oh dear, I'm starting to sound cynical!
Nothing is foolproof, as fools are so ingenious! :D
  • Very late now - what on earth is going on?

Why not some common courtesy to explain why the report is so late this year!
