Mobility scooter car carrier rack

OK so this device weighs something like 26kg. Requires a number plate and lights board to be sort of legal and will have a scooter driven onto it (and secured in some way? along with the ramps).

Even smallish scooters can weigh a fair bit (wife's Pride GoGo Traveller plus is about 51kg without a bag on the back. A bigger one can easily exceed 100kg.

Many tow bars have a limit to 75kg or less with a few marques much higher (100 or 150kg). You will need to check what your vehicle's towbar allows as well as what the scooter you propose using weighs.

I'd guess that the maker and sole supplier will be that on the website (last updated in 2014?). Have you tried contacting them?

NB any towbar has to meet 'type approval' on recent (post 1998) vehicles and accessories like this may require 'approval' of your towbar maker to ensure the installation will still meet the regulations. (Google towbar type approval for the details).
