A lot of home truths here that many don't like!

Also, if (young) couples stop buying coffees, going to the gym, taking weekend breaks, eating, playing the lottery, buying mobile phones and going out there will be a negative knock-on affect to those sectors of the economy; and those that rely on them.

Coffee shops, gyms, hotels, restaurants, small retailers, mobile phone shops and clubs may close or have to lay off staff. Ironically, those are places where young people often work.

If (young) couples had an extra £33,000 to spend on their first home we'd probably see house prices increase by a similar amount, meaning that another large chunk of the UK's wealth is locked away in property.

Yeah, I agree, those millennials sure did make those house prices go up by leveraging themselves senseless to build up buy-to-let "portfolios", sold off social housing by the ton, kept productivity stagnant since the financial crash (which they caused), enjoyed comprehensive public services then pulled the ladder up for future generations, and starved the tax base while insisting on hugely increased benefits for themselves and freezing them for everyone else.

They really should have known better than to do all that when they were resident in their dad's b*llocks. They should have done something more personally responsible, like voting for a hugely damaging hard Brexit they won't live to bear the costs of so they don't have to see Polish people serving them in the Wilko cafe, while blaming immigrants and the EU for all their problems instead.

Nope, they should clearly be angry at the real people responsible for the country they were born in having all of these problems; themselves.
