Thank you for my number! Working on the signature. I'm deliberately not keeping track of what I put in the pot so it will all be a delightful surprise, but found a few bits and bobs about the place. No news on the baby yet!

Had a princely £2.68 in my purse today for the fortnightly emptying. Not a lot to show for a fortnight,is it,though £6 did go in my £2 coins tin,so thats something. But I'm with Mr Micawber, any surplus leads to happiness!:D:D

    Hi everyone

Just back from holidays - thanks to the hot weather and having the dog, who also obliged us by being ill for 2 days and needing 2 trips to the local vet to the tune of £100, we didn't get out much and consequently I've bought almost no souvenirs or holiday tat. Almost :rotfl:

Unfortunately we were already planning to return home a day early as a friend and colleague passed away and her funeral was on Friday - then my hubby's aunt died on the Saturday as we left home and would you believe her funeral was also Friday, at the same time. Naturally family came first BUT it meant we had to go shopping for funeral-appropriate clothing (hubby is a stickler for black and white only at funerals - whereas my colleague's not unexpectedly was 'no black'). Also not easy when you have a dog with you and of course can't leave her anywhere when you're camping. It was a logistical nightmare on many levels - travelling to our usual Heathrow Travelodge, sorting out a dog-sitter otherwise I couldn't attend, packing the car strategically so not too much was on show... But we made it and that was the main thing. We must have spent the whole week once we knew the date/time working on the logistics of it.

Anyway it's back to work tomorrow and I've just swapped everything from 'holiday' bag/purse to 'work' bag/purse and the resulting purse clear-out yielded £7 in £1 coins and £6 in £2s. Plus a bit of shrapnel for the bottle. I now have 2 bags of stuff to take back to Debenhams and Primark that I bought for the funeral but didn't need/wear!!

Meanwhile back in the adult world, I need to organise a new washing machine as mine sounds like it's spinning a load of marbles.

Haven't had the opportunity to catch up yet but hope you're all doing OK!!

Thank you for my stars Sue :D

I'm loving this weather, however, I did think I was going to melt yesterday in the heat! We had a lovely weekend as DS and his girlfriend came to stay and we had a full family get together Saturday - the dog thought it was Christmas and wondered where the turkey was! :rotfl:

I've have £10 in £1 coins to pot today. Enjoy your week Potters, stay cool

Still no sign of baby, and have done all my big chores, so have been pottering around tidying out drawers etc which has yielded a few handfuls of small change for the pot!
