    Hi all,

I haven't posted for a few days, as its just been one of those weeks where there are not enough hours in the day.

Payday has arrived and a few money shuffles have taken place to keep me ticking along to my target. I have sent £538.57 to the mortgage as an over-payment; meaning we are at £2500/£4000.

No money has been sent to savings as yet, but I will add a little to the pot this month once I have paid out for the rest of LO school uniform (I think I have over budgeted) and put in my expenses claim at work which is around £90.

Weekly shop was done today and I came in 30p under my £55 target :money::rotfl:

2 hours OT completed yesterday and 5 hours completed today, which will add to next months pot. I could do with another 7-8 hours of OT this month in order to stay on target for this year.

Going to keep plugging away. I am considering doing a no spend month in September - anyone got any tips that may be useful?

Any hoo - hope you all have a great weekend!

Today has been a low spend day. We utilised a free swim session at our local swimming baths and then went to the park in the afternoon.

It would have been an NSD,but the local park have started to charge £2 for parking on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Tonight will be a family film night, using a free 14 day trial to the film section of NOW TV.

A good day overall and we will be trying to use the free swim session weekly basis until the swimming baths closes for some refurb work.

3 items listed on ebay today - I will try to add another 2-3 this evening to keep things moving.

    Hi,

I hope everyone is having a good day.

Not much to report here, just ticking along.

Ebay item was posted today, as I didn't get chance to pop out on my lunch break yesterday. Ebay monies to be moved from paypal into savings.

Other than postage, the only spend today was £1 on some fresh cobs for lunch and 50p on a book for LO from the charity shop.

I also received a letter from the mortgage company today, confirming they had received my last OP and that our mortgage term has reduced to 14 years and 10 months. I must admit, I do like these letters :D

Clocking up some more OT tonight and will also make sure that I submit my work expenses while I am in.

Right, off to get the tea on, have a good one!

    Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend.

This weekend has been a bit spendy in the NHS house. I spent £45 yesterday to have my hair done (highlights, base colour, cut and blow dry. This spend was planned in this months budget and came in under the £50 I had put aside - very pleased with the final result (as it had been nearly 6 months since I had my hair done and I was looking a bit like Worzel Gummidge ).

I have also purchased LO pinafores for school, so just need to get shoes, pumps and some winter wellies now. I did use a £5 M&S voucher from swagbucks towards the pinafores. OH needed some new white work shirts as they were showing the wear and tear and had started to discolor around the collar and under arms - 3 pack from Next came in at £38. I could have gotten them cheaper elsewhere, but OH likes the quality and fit from Next.

A couple of bits were purchased at Boots, I used a £5 No7 voucher to get OH some cut price face cream and I treated myself to a small costa coffee while I had some alone time.

I will add these spends to the speadsheet and reconcile the accounts this evening.

Other than the spends above, I have spent the weekend cleaning the house and doing some of the annual jobs like wiping out the wardrobes.

Paypal withdrawal made (£14.39) bringing the savings to £258.97/£3000

Thanks for stopping by Shangaijimmy, its always grand to have some company along the way.

Just a quick one for tonight - 1 ebay sale yesterday, should net about £4.50 after fees. That item was posted today.

A second item has just sold, which should be another £2-3 after fees. Just awaiting payment from the buyer. This money will be sent to savings to keep it ticking along.

I must get those other two items listed this week as a priority.
Saturday will see some more OT being added to the pot for this month too.

    Onwards and downwards :)

    Happy hump day!!!

    Today is only part done, but we have had a lot of outgoings already;

    1. Latest ebay sale posted this morning £1.22.

    2. LO New Wellies (part of school related purchases) £10.

    3. LO 1 Pair jeggings £10. I put her current pair on yesterday and they were way too short.

    3. £42 on LO Clarks School Shoes and Canvas PE pumps.

    4. £2 spent in M&S on 4 packs of Haddock fish cakes (in freezer now). I have a £4 voucher to use in the food section, so this took the £6 bill down to £2.

    5. £20.50 spent in Boots - picked up a No7 face scrub for OH (£3.50 after a £5 off No7 voucher was used), two lipsticks for me to add some colour to my dark work wardrobe (£3 off voucher used). Got a free No7 gift with an eye shadow, nail polish, small mascara and eye shadow brush. Whilst this was not the sole purpose of my purchase, it does mean that I won't have to buy any other makeup for a while as it is all stuff I will use.

    6. I did get another £5 No7 voucher, so will put this aside for another OH purchase. I stockpile them when this offer is on, as it is the only brand he likes using (jeez that sounds pretentious :o).

With a stop at Greggs for lunch, we came in at around £90 spend. I had budgetted £80 just for the shoes, pumps and wellies; so I am not too concerned with the amount spent as it is all for items that will be used.

The final spend today will be the weekly shop tonight, but I could do with having a rummage through the freezer first and getting a meal plan together.
