Had an exceedingly lazy morning and didn't get up until 10.45, was helping DD1 with her Christmas list, need to get these things planned as it takes a while for us to get through 4.
Have baked 2 apple crumbles, got 7 sticky ginger cakes in (they are all bubbling out their tins so will have the oven to clean) and then going to finish off with some muffins. DD1 has helped and as I've done the majority of the washing up she's goi9ng to wash the tins which I hate doing.
DS1 has done ferreting
DS2 has caught the bus into town with friends (first time I've let him do it)
DD1 reading
DD2 out helping dad mechanic, she's on 50p an hour and is well chuffed. Slave drivers us.....nah.

Muffins were fab. Apple and oat ones. I'm holding Memory Girl responsible for any weight gain as it was her recipe, DD1 made and 12 and there are none left!!!! Personally I blame DD2......

ok chaps here ya go:
muffins
1 egg
150ml sunflower oil
175ml milk
in a large mixing bowl mix
75g oats
125g plain flour
75g sugar
pinch salt
150g sultanas
1 apple peeled, cored and diced
Pour the wet mix over the dry and mix briefly until dry mix moist (don't over mix or you get tough muffins)
spoon into a dozen muffin cases
bake for 25 mins I did mine at 180c and they were ok
Stcky Ginger
4oz butter
4 oz light muscovado sugar (I use normal granulated)
2oz black treacle
2oz golden syrup
1/4 pt milk
2 eggs beaten
6oz plain flour
pinch of salt
1 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp bicarb of soda
Pre heat oven to 170c. Grease and line 2lb loaf tin. Melt butter, sugar, syrup and treacle in pan. Put plain flour and spices into food processor, cool the melted mix and bung into mixer. Whizz. Pour in the milk and beaten egg (make sure its cool or the egg will cook). Put into loaf tin and bake for approx 40 mins. Once cooled wrap in tin foil and try and leave them for a couple of days (no chance in our house). They freeze really well.

Hi Lucielle,
have spent the last 3 days reading your inspirational diary as I want to be DF but don't want to give up my 3 ponies. But now I've got to the end I'm very sad that you no longer have yours, am not sure what to to do now.....I guess I already know that I can;t clear the debts and keep the ponies, so keep doing nothing!
how are you coping withouts the GG's ?Debt at LBM 27 Sept 2010 £40,640.17:o cleared it in 2017. Debt now £3600 on credit card 0% and £20k on consolidation loan Oh dear will I ever l learn!? B][/FONT0 -
Hello TC, hope you don't mind me calling you that. I miss grooming and riding. However its bliss knowing winter is coming and not having to stress about wether to put rugs on, bring them in at night, worry about them churning up the field etc. Not having that stress is great. However I did wear my horsey coat the other day which smelt of my old boy and I did feel exceedingly sad, however I know I did the right thing, another winter would've been cruel. My boy has gone onto big and better things. It doesn't help that DD2 has now decided she wants riding lessons for Christmas.
Can you loan or get a sharer to help with the costs? I know hay and straw costs are going through the roof this year.
